  1. Did a little search, here is a writeup on pipeburn where they are quoted as saying the electrical system including the efi weighs "over 25 pounds", again I'm sure they are including stuff like switchgear and maybe even the clocks: https://www.pipeburn.com/home/2016/04/28/moto-guzzi-v11-sport-moto-studios.html If you are so outraged maybe you should take it up with them. And there is nothing wrong with seeing a therapist! I encourage if it will help you chill the f u c k out a little

  2. I ride the V11 way too fast. The HP number means little to me. It has not much more than half the HP as my latest generation multi, but I ride the v11 like a punk kid.... it just loves that “power band” where it goes like a scalded monkey, so I end up racing around like Vale. Bad behavior, but delicious.

  3. Do you still have all the parts from your original single plate clutch, that was removed? Most importantly, do you still have the input hub? Looks like this: the one on the right is the one you hopefully still have (ignore the bigger one on the left): If you still have this hub, then you can use the "5 speed" single plate RAM clutch.

  4. With your new direct feed removing its largest load it shouldn't blow any more. With the old wiring as the switch got dirty the current dropped down to a point where it was taking too long to pull the solenoid in although I have no idea why it blew while running. If you look at the blown fuse it gives a clue, just a tiny gap indicates it was only mildly overloaded, a large gap indicates a short circuit. Fuse 4 also feeds Fuse 6 and 7 through the ignition switch.

  5. You can also use a single LED with a pair of diodes to prevent cross talk, that's what I have on my loop. Here's a sketch I did for someone, In the first diagram I explain why its no problem with incandescent lamps The second diagram shows cross talk The third diagram shows how back to back diodes prevent cross talk, any small diode will do eg 1N4004. Note: All 12 Volt LEDs incorporate a series resistor to limit the current to 15 mA or less, I haven't shown these for simplicity.

  7. Under 4000rpm is like stepping on the toes of your Tango partner. 5000 to 6000+ is pure aria ! (Especially with some freer flowing canisters . . .)

  8. thanks! the vibration is not all that bad: the bike was one of those super deals and the guy backed out, then his wife made him go through with it, so I ran down there so fast I did not bring gloves.. then rode it home 40 miles. it certainly tells you what rpm it likes.

  9. I've long endured people saying the V11 is a heavy bike. Sure, it's no SuperMotard. When asked, I say that it's out of gas at 500 pounds. My last liter bike weighed 650, so I'm feeling like I have wings on my boots . . .

  10. You say that like its a bad thing And yes I at least accept your apology for your lack of previous clarity and loose interpretation of figures.I can't comment for the others. Ciao

  12. and a pic of the bike! a bit faded but not much changed off the floor. My friend commented: "Why don't you want to park your new guzzi on the street" when we were meeting up in west oakland (I'd parked on the dried up lawn in front of the house). I was like.. its nearly 20 years old! PO kept it pretty clean!

  13. Yes, like the French brand bicycle tires I recently bought, made in Malaysia, shipped to New Zealand, from a Spanish retail store.
