  3. Italian wiring-where would we be without them? Connections/earths/rust/ wiring brittle with age - all these maladies befall some Italian stuff. If the bike was stored somewhere chilly for a Winter or 2 then issues will follow. Ignition switch on my own V11 was in very poor shape internally, rewired and now much better but still the odd time nothing happens when starter button pressed - when we are all dead and gone our spiritual grandsons will be asking each other what the phuck is wrong with their old Moto Guzzis. If you need a laugh have a look at some original wiring on 70s Italian stuff - very little left original now cos folks wanted to get about on them but if you get a chance take a peek. Take it as part of the fun of running a left of field beast-its not wired to the standard of BMW that's for sure.

  4. The manual doesn't mention a minimum thickness for friction or steel plates but new plates are 8mm from what i've seen on MG cycles website. So worn out would be be anything under 7.5mm i'd imagine. Ciao

  5. As some may know the CARC bikes use a remote breather from the slave cylinder to a bleed nipple up under the seat. I'm sure it would be very easy to fabricate something similar for the V11 and it makes bleeding the clutch a breeze.

  6. Looks like V11scura02sport has a Scura and we all know about the flywheel issue within the clutch assembly. Perhaps this what concerns him? How about one of our multi-lingual, or Spanish speaking, members help out our new friend?

  12. Ah, yes; I remember that last pic. I had just told Josh that if he couldn't keep up with an old fat guy two-up on a Norge, perhaps he should consider another sport. He took it well, actually. Bill P.S. Hope to post my SSR XV slideshow soon.
