  1. I bought a few tank bags for my '00 Sport with the chin pad, including the stupid ring system that SW Motech uses. Lame. Ended up with a Cortech 2.0 low profile that straps on and looks good too.

  3. I still have those bulbs in both my Guzzis. They don't seem terribly bright but no worse than standard 55 wt halogen but no where near a 100 wt halogen. Hopefully they don't pull much current. I always have the old H4 bulbs in my tank bag, JIC.

  5. "Lady" not so much, maybe. Valkyrie. Web Cams 86B and probably the best heads ever done on a 2-valve Guzzi.

  7. IDK if the bike being discussed id a cable or hydraulic set-up . # 1 if it is cable operated you will want slack / clearance , whatever in the lever . Make this adjustment cold and recheck after the engine is normal operating temp . # 2 if it is hydraulic operated YOU BETTER KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING . If you "fiddle around" with the wrong stuff , you will create a hydraulic jack . Every time you pull the clutch lever the piston at the clutch release will be extended and not return . You pull the lever more and the piston extends more . This is the way a hydraulic jack works .The difference is there is a bleed screw that allows the pressure to bleed off at the small piston and the jack return to at rest position . If the factory set-up is set correctly , when you pull the lever , the master cylinder will operate the slave cylinder . When you release the master cylinder , the slave cylinder moves back to at rest position and the fluid goes back into the reservoir . If it is misadjusted , the fluid will not go past the piston and keep pressure in the system . This is why NO ONE should be messin' around with the stuff at the lever unless they understand what they are doing . The tech @ the Guzzi dealer , it doesn't sound like he was doing too good. Whew ! I hope I said what I meant ?

  8. @kantmakm I dropped mine yesterday too for the second time in three years. My most dropped bike for sure. The best part is it fell on another Guzzi and my helmet. Shes ugly, overweight, not the smartest but she’s all mine... Ha! edit: Truth be told there are few people that will feel sorry for a guy when one Italian motorcycle falls onto another Italian motorcycle...

  9. Another piece of collateral damage when having these heads done was the head temp sensor housing, bakelite thingy broke. When looking for a new part I ordered from AF1. Those guys seem to run a great business! I don’t normally go to them but I should. thats all.

  11. No , my V-Strom is easy to drop ! I rode to this station up the road ( 2 weeks ago ) to gas up w/non ethanol . Came home , the kickstand retracted , we all went over . After 5 attempts including my pride I had to call a neighbor to pick it up for me . 3 chiro visits later I can walk O.K. now .
