  1. Aside from my brother taking it for a spin last week this poor thing has been lonely. So when we had a warmish day this week and the Norton was not to start the Guzzi got the call. WIth the excuse of stopping by the grocery store for some potatoes off I went. I may have taken the longish way to the grocery store.

  2. Indeed Docc ... a proliferation of (mostly) frozen nuts this time of year - but nothing a portable hair-drier couldn't thaw (on my top-five of usefull things to carry on longer journeys ... not that I have much hair, or would care what it looked like even if I did) ... but most excellent boot-driers on those damper days should motel x not offer in-room microwave ..! I have ridden through snow in AB during June in the past (seriously) ... hardy bunch we Canadians are!

  3. Great idea Gio! I have just the right (little) one. Must remember to not set boot on fire. Glove too.

  4. I use both brakes most of the time. Keeps the bike level and balanced to use both.

  5. Hi Doc,you have an inquiring mind, 1st time both speed-o and tac had defective control board issues ----this time ,I don't know as yet,it's only been 6 weeks but, don't go away there's more -----both units do not light the face, the tac totally does not work,+something else I can't recall at the moment +one of the little square things that(do not) make the instruments light up,all but caught fire.I only have 4 years of warrantee left,I hope they can hurry !!! Other than that -----Life Is Good!!!!!

  6. I use it all the time. It's not my main brake, of course.

  7. This "no rear brake, ever" mindset that some still espouse is confusing and nonsensical.

  8. As Kevin Schwantz once said, "I used the rear brake once - I remember it well because I crashed".

  9. Docc, the + and - terminals are extremely sturdy. Had a bush fix before recieving the + protection. ( pictures ) The only place with heat is in my head,,, sometimes. From regulator now, 1 wire to + terminal, and 1 wire to minus terminal. The wire you see is for an outlet, never in use, a little miscoloration, not been hot. Very happy with the charging. About 70 more days, tuning outside. Cheers Tom. Sent fra min SM-A505FN via Tapatalk

  10. You probably have the prettiest Mandello on the west coast. If I had the space in the garage....

  11. Good eye on the MG. It's owned by the guy with the grey hair.

  12. That’s the kind of impressive i got from my Odyssey, and a Westco. At 10yrs i’d Change the battery just because it seemed like i’d Gotten my moneys worth, but they still held voltage fine. I’m not not after weight loss on the V11, just like the notion of it being tidier under the seat, and the extra space provided by the smaller battery could be space i use for a little CE-1 box, or something along those lines. Ultimately i’ll Likely not want to remove a perfectly good odyssey, so i’ll Waffle, then it will be riding season again, and i’ll Put her back together and head out... But Marty’s setup does look like a good one for creating some space in that area.

  15. They were black on champs. Love it. I've taken to running a black cowl on the Tenni

  16. For the record, I didn't call any artist, band, album or song, ridiculous. I said this particular duet was. They are both great singers. I just don't get the pairing. The video was very unfortunate. MTV. 'Killing the blues' is way up on my list of best songs ever written. A strong beautiful song on it's own. The only times I've heard it live was from Shawn Colvin, 24-25 years ago. I've been playing it this way since.

  17. Amazingly resilient, these AGM. But blatantly unforgiving if neglected. Know your actionable voltages. Understanding the actionable thresholds and required charging voltages and amperages is the difference between making the battery secure and watching your mates ride off while you wait for roadside assistance . . .

  19. LOL. That's me and no. I was just amazed at how good the rear brake feels. Not that I'm a big rear brake user. All of mine feel like wood. This one is really linear and responsive for some reason. This is a solid bike. I helped my buddy pick it out after looking for a long time. Original owner was legit. I let him ride my 2008 Tuono Factory and he kinda fell in love with it.

  21. D'Oh, probably, dang it! Too pricey for the work it will need. Crappy header wrap is coming undone, and I see the rear master cylinder shield is gone. What else?

  22. If there’s one thing I don’t do is hide. I’ve been on YouTube for 12 years and countless videos. Very few of them flattering. At least the bikes make me look cooler than I am.

  23. Guilty. Yeah, those are my drone shots. If you watch enough of Mike’s channel you’ll see me more often than not. There’s a whole series (playlist) on my Norton engine rebuild. He has a video coming out in a couple weeks that we shot today. Very fascinating no matter what bike you ride!

  24. It fit my 2002 Scura pretty well. Short wheelbase colors on a long wheelbase bike. Mike

  26. Three Covered Bridges and a Goose. I gave a preview of this ride in the Overcharging thread. https://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=20562 but now you get the video: Depoe Bay, Oregon. World's smallest navigable harbor which I guess it means you can turn a boat around in it? Also great for whale watching (more on the ocean side but I think they have had a whale sneak into the harbor on occasions). And it was misty and cold. Colder and wetter than I had hoped for. At least it cleared up a little once I got north on the coast. Marys Peak, highest point on the Oregon Coast Range.
