  1. Got the oil cooler lines squared away today. I'll tell you how straight forward they are to make after I start the engine and there's no leaks. A pair of 18" cable cutters and dedicated hyd fitting vice jaws make things a lot easier. Note the "black" heat shrink. I know someone that probably would have gone red. Ciao

  3. Like docc said JB weld or Devcon aluminium. Its risky weld repairing porosity as it can end up just dissolving in front of the torch. It may just be on the surface anyway, hard to tell unless you get it x-rayed or ultrasonic tested. Ciao

  4. Howdy from the top of Virginia. I recently hosted and survived “MGTD-III” [Moto Grappa Tech Days], an annual (at least has been for three years) event that brings together some Moto Guzzi owners -- including Nobleswood here -- to work, à la Tom Sawyer, on my Guzzis. And, while feminists may groan, it’s a “no wimmen allowed” gathering. Kathi goes elsewhere (this time to Erie) because why would she (or any other woman) hang around 15 guys who mostly get greasy from wrenching motorcycles, eat lots of bad food, drink beer and bourbon, belch, tell lies, snore loudly, and worse? I culled my bazzilion photos and cobbled those into a captioned slideshow of this past weekend. Yes, of course, too many, but that’s me. On the bright side, while best viewed in slideshow fashion, they first come up in “landscape collage,” meaning you can see all at once without going through them one by one. “Hover” your cursor over them to reveal captions. Here are the pix: MGTD-III Slideshow Bill P.S. Kathi is on her way back home and about 4 hours out. I better get back to “hiding the evidence” or the next party here will be my wake!

  5. Search "Hugger" as awhile back, one seller thought it was a rear hugger.

  6. A high idle on a V11 is vastly better than a low one. V11 idle adjustment is "Step 6" . . .

  7. Hey, ya know P.Roper is fond of saying, "V11 don't crash well." One more thing he is right about . . .

  10. Don't be too sad , certain Ducatis , when the sidestand breaks off , the engine case is destroyed . Leaving you with a very beautiful red bike that will cost twice it's value to repair .
