  1. How are you dear friends? Here a disaster and one problem after another. We hope for a better world and fewer idiots around. I recommend social distancing and appropriate health protection. Take care!

  2. I'm happy to report that the bike has been recovered. There is some damage to the ignition, seat and turn signal. It's still in the tow lot and I haven't gotten to check it out yet.

  5. So much to dig on, there! A whole stage of Orange® Half-stacks that match the miniskirt of the chick stage right with the Go-Go boots. The STP® sticker between the pick-ups of the cat playing slide (I'm betting Andy Granatelli didn't pay him for that in those days). And a bassman that never got the memo that all bassmen are to play from a dark corner and remain largely motionless.

  6. That is a true, but misleading topic title. Good on you for the "made you look" effect. I got all worked up thinking Valentino would be on a new 4V LeMans. Still a great article. Thanks for sharing that blast from the past. I am enjoying my 4V 1200cc Stelvio, which undoubtedly owes something of its existence to this early "butterfly" race effort. So yes, I have experienced the butterfly effect. Although the butterflies in the carbs have been replaced by fuel injection.

  7. You are so right Docc,, was even inked in 78 with 426 Hemi. 9 years ago the misses, Rose, was 50,, so exspensive flowers with wheels,, well deserved , hanging in since early seventy's Side comment,,, every time I'm entering the garage, I never stir my eyes towards the sort of new 1250 HP GS,,, just towards V 11 and tonti's... at least a good illness. Wishing enjoyable riding for everybody. Cheers tom

  9. Got license plates yesterday, new Pirelly Angel GT and new front bearings on the Greenie. PO di'nt like corner's, plenty of meat left on the Dunlops, but flat like a , di'nt handle good, compared to my R Corsa with Øhlins and Pirelly GT's. Checked the frame, straitgh to my abillity, wondering about suspension , new GT's today = NICE. Will do a new sync after a trip in the mountains, first tuning Meinolf 's way, 2-3000rpm in town traffic speeds, not perfect, rest of the curve = YES. I know I mentioned it before, my Greenie felt like a bomb compared to my R Corsa , but felt more even today ??? More reports later. What a serious relationship. Still V early in the season up here, theyr'e , not going anywhere. Next week 6c and rain Yes I have another IPA. Cheers Tom Sent fra min SM-A505FN via Tapatalk

  11. I seem to recall the OEM aluminum emblem can be gently shaped to the curve. Clean that surface really well and the adhesive holds up surprisingly well. Yet, it is not unheard of that they go missing . . . No criticism, just an observation. These "catch-all" threads see alot of traffic and some great posts. OP Scud also kind of originated the idea of the Dedicated Build Thread. That the current owner of his Greenie, KINDOY2, has that thread for reference is just terrific. Looking forward to your thread, hammershaug!

  12. OEM Part Name: Front Mudguard for Ohlins forks Moto Guzzi Part Number: 01434385 Replacement Part Differences from OEM: a bit shorter in back (possibly more road spray), more protection of fork sliders up front. Can be installed/removed with front wheel on bike (removal of OEM fender requires wheel removal) Other Compatible Vehicles: 1998-2003 Aprilia RSV Mille, 2002-2005 Aprilia Tuono Other Comments: excellent quality carbon fiber Website link for source: found on eBay from a seller in Hong Kong

  13. When my Bitubo played up at about 67,000 miles, I sourced a Japanese Shindy (pronounced SHIN-juh) from Moto International. Their item number was PUD17-001 at a price of 132.95 US$ in August 2009. I tried riding the Sport with the Bitubo drained, then removed, but didn't like the feel.

  14. Today - Canadians everywhere, and fellow Nova Scotians in particular, will be remembering the 22 victims of the recent shootings - sadly - the largest in our nations history. In what are already difficult times - spare a thought for innocent victims everywhere and do whatever you can to make this world a better / safer place for all of us. Gio PS - there will be an on-line vigil (fb and CBC radio / television) tonight beginning at 7pm eastern time.
