  1. It's torn the center out of one of the friction plates. When the other one goes, (Soon.) you will fail to proceed. New clutch. Don't buy Surflex.

  2. Hi, I still get emails asking for the V11 BIN I made available several years ago. I can't find my post with the download links, which don't work anymore anyway, so here's the current download link. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1e7MMuO6vrUZGFfmkCtL3zsW1qeS6uDgY/view?usp=sharing The base setup, and that's quite important to follow to get the best results, is: - TPS set to 157mV with all mechanical connectors removed and throttle completely closed - Both bypass screws completely closed - CO trim set to 0 - Idle sync with both (if so required) throttle stop screws - Running sync as usual And while we at it, here's the link to the Jackal (works with any California with 15M) BIN. Same base setup as V11, but I recommend a larger valve play of 0,3mm for exhaust and intake. The Jackal BIN is quite recent. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Wb2LXrRrgDI1WO0krnb_GeiAvewbwA1K/view?usp=sharing Cheers Meinolf

  3. New calipers are cheap enough in my opinion. 100 bucks and you probably could have a new one. Bike sitting for 5 years = bad fluid. starts to solidify in the line...first pump or 2 is ok and then you have forced that nasty stuff into the caliper. Now its stuck in the caliper and can't find its way back in that tiny feed hole. In the mean time the caliper is full and pushing the pads against the rotor. Rotor gets cherry red ..heat transfers to the caliper...melts the seals and distorts the pistons. Pistons are of a non-metallic substance so they can't transfer any heat. Of all the things you could not like about a V11, the rear brake is the most under engineered piece on the bike. I think it really was a "use these , we have a bunch of them". I rarely use the rear brake ....2nd set of pads in 125,000 miles. I mainly use the rear in the rain. I haven't look in a while but do replace the rotor also. if it got cherry red is has been compromised . Andy

  5. Not long since I put Mistral crossover and the titanium option cans from Guzzi on the greenie. New gaskets for headers, and tighten the bolts so I can turn them a little sidevice. The headers I think are the boss, the rest have to follow, and I use a lot of paste. I'm sure you know all this. But I think the wear marks are nugging you the most . You can put the Mistral crossover all the way into the headers for a nice fit, but then you are in trouble with the cans Can take a picture tomorrw, to show my fit together and wear marks. A few inches of piping woud have been nice, a few inches divided by ,,,, comes out in $. I woud have paid the full price. Cheers tom.

  6. the improved overlap (pic). Just also noticed on the other side that the decent quality, Agostini supplied exhaust clamp now gets in the way of the kick stand armature that extends out and keeps it from banging against the (stock) exhaust. didn't notice till just now.... odd. doesn't really hurt anything that i can see, and is barely noticeable, but seems like an odd thing given the source of the crossover. rolling the clamp down and in won't work as the end of the tightening bolt hits the case/oil-pan.

  7. I have managed to order these at https://www.schellen-shop.de/ for my Aprilia Caponord. Do not forget these normally come with NBR o-rings, which does not do well with (modern partly-ethanol) fuels. They sell replacement Viton o-rings, suggest to order these and replace prior to installation. I'm considering these for my V11 as well on the next tank removal, as my fuel tap is sh*t as well.

  9. Whatever you do , make sure you correct the problem before going down the road and hauling it back with the same problem(s) ! I think what ever rotor you come up with you can swap the rotor only instead of the entire assy. I think these spools are removable and the rotor can be swapped . These should be clean and spin kinda easy .

  10. Hopefully everyone knows the smaller #s will be intake clearance and the larger #s are the exhaust clearance because of the hotter components and will expand taking up clearance .

  11. Most likely cause for this is a mal adjusted master cylinder or a master cylinder thats jammed partially on. have you been doing any work on the brake lever or foot pegs? Could be the caliper of course but the first 2 are the usual suspects. Ciao

  12. Can't imagine my bikes without washing for years, up here at 59d, so a lot of gentle cleaning comes with the territority. Australia'n continent moved 1.5m north the last 22years, but that probably didn't change your need to wash Cheers tom.

  14. Hey vtwins4 life. Here in the UK there are only 478 MT01s registered, which makes it quite rare. It was never imported into the US. But to put the numbers into perspective there are only 206 V11 Sports (all years) in the entire UK - even rarer Guzzi’s have only sold in tiny numbers here
