  1. I used to ride the Crest ( hwy2) to Newcomb's 3-4 days a week in my 30's and 40's...when I was self employed and a member of Pro-Italia clubhouse ( Italian bikes only)..I miss it a lot..and I miss my old riding buddies, I was down last week an saw some of them who have been riding it weekly since the early 60's ..a couple of the guys in their mid to LATE 70's with newer Italian Superbikes and they still get together and ride the crest EVERY Friday morning, unless their is snow and they still go like a Bat out O Hell"!...:-)

  2. I normally spend my time in the Winter in the Santa Monicas. Old riding buddy, Guzzi Bob(RIP) lived near the crest. We rode literally thousands of miles together. I still miss him when I go out to SoCal..

  3. Another look: Ain’t she sweet? So what will the bright lads and gals at Moto Guzzi / Piaggio do to bring in the 100th anniversary? Will they give us a new bike with this fire, this visceral riding machine?

  5. I used Helicoils on my VII Sport tappet covers, most of the holes are not blind, They make a job that's better than original.

  7. If you are helicoil-ing a block, you need a bottoming tap, not a tapered tap. The tapering tap can be helpful to cleanly cut the 1st couple of threads at the top of the hole, then finish in with the bottoming tap.

  8. First time playing with Guzzidiag. Saved a copy of the map, then used Tunerpro to turn the Lambda probe off. Reloaded the map and CO has changed from -128 to "0". Yay it worked. Set TPS to 157mv following the "Decent Tune Up" instruction. It was 80mv. Balanced the Throttle bodies with the Motion Pro tool. They were a little out. Set the idle and now ready to go. Prior to this I had set the valves and installed new plugs. So once I have repaired the headlight lens retaining screw setup I will be back on the road after a long period of maintenance. The bike should run a hell of a lot better now. I have a PCIII sitting on the shelf so now the Lambda is turned off I may use this and get adjusted on the dyno. This has my first time playing with the TPS and TB's. I have always carried out all other maintenance on my bikes and I have owned a few Ducatis
