It'll break if it runs long enough.. normally within 20K miles. One of the first things Pete had done to the Mighty Scura was change to the dual plate clutch. He said he had some "dangly bits" too near the exploding flywheel for comfort..

You'll want to get all info on previous work done, and sort out the clutch at some point. As I've said before, it's not guaranteed to break but it's a known weak point that will always be a threat. welcome!

Tennis were made in 2002 as far as I know and all had the single plate clutch unless converted to twin plate, the failing flywheel isn't the only problem, the single plate will wear out and they are made of unobtainium

Stock cans on these actually don't sound that bad, but they look huge and weigh a ton! And once you've heard it with a non restrictive crossover and straight through cans, you wouldn't have it any other way. In the end there are options that are reasonably priced and given some research, might even be inexpensive. Don't let it stand in the way of getting the bike. Sort the pipes later. Welcome!

Sorry, been away from here for a long time. Still have the bike. Still works great. As noted from the other response (also a long time ago) (but thought all the information should be in the same place) I had to get the clutch push rod machined down at the clutch end. I had them make it symmetrical; both ends have matching diameter and depth steps in them, and it worked perfectly.

Docc FYI The OBD II to usb cable I ordered from ESCTuning didn't work for me. I suspect it doesn't have the correct FTDI 232RL chip despite being listed as such on their website. At Paul's suggestion I ordered the Lonelec kit and was able to hook up with my MacBook. Both cables use the same FTDI driver. My recommendation is to forget other sources and just order from Lonelec in the UK. A bit more shipping time but they're garanteed to work.
