  1. And the prize goes to Shaun! Well done that man! Got the bike out today and had the screech back again. I then noticed that the lights were dimming as soon as I touched the clutch lever along with the screech.... WTF I thought and then saw the poxy starter button was stuck in. The clutch lever switch was engaging the starter! Came back on here to post the update and saw your post!

  2. Not so much “V11” as it’s gear...but I’ve always wanted a pair of some bad ass Daytona boots. That now can be scratched off the moto bucket list.... Updates forthcoming...just know I’ve been swamped with work/personal health issues blah blah blah... Happy New Year to everyone!

  3. The squarer ones like Phil's were used on the Griso and Sport 1200. They use a lead cover and a protective 'Puck' on the two outer, middle rocker cover bolts. The more round rocker covers were used on Bellagio, Breva, Norge and 'Breva Sport 1200' which is an odd parts-bin special. These use a single one piece lead cover.

  4. Yes well done indeed. It all makes perfect sense. I've never experienced the starter button jamming in on any bike, one to put in the memory bank. No wait, better write it down. Ciao

  5. I can not say I can remember ever being unaware of the V11 . I do not remember not wanting one . Most of all , I cannot owning one . Not everyone is going to feel this .

  6. Pretty quiet from @p6x for a couple weeks . . . I can only fathom that, 1) He's got the LeMans on the way back to Texas, 2) He gave up on our sorry selves, or 3) (worst case scenario): the "Jimmy Choo high heels and pricey purse" didn't work .

  7. These are not the same as Phil's. There are two late type rocker covers which require different HT lead covers. The differences are purely cosmetic but be aware.

  8. Hmmmmm . Let's go over this "clearly " mentioned STUFF . You think your wife doesn't know you purchased a bike ! Every night you go to sleep , she gives you the Vulcan mind probe and finds out every thought , act and muse you have done that day . She isn't going to bring it up , simply for the fact she "can and will use it against you" when the time comes ! You cannot ration or reason ANY discussion about this motorcycle . The day will come you will simply say "oh , I thought I told you?" ..... Then_____________________ buy her a pair of Jimmy Choo high heels and a pricey purse .

  9. I personally wouldn't ride due to Covid. And I wouldn't ride in Jan regardless. I probably wouldn't do a fly and ride unless I was very certain the bike was going to make it. Instead, I'd rent a bike trailer from UHaul which I've done on several occasions. Hopefully this bike has luggage. Make sure you have lots of layers of clothing and wet weather bike gear. At least a couple of different pairs of gloves. Bring some fuses and relays, some tools and a tire repair kit and compressor. If the tires are old, get them changed out before you travel. I'm not sure if this bike has 170 or 180 rear. If it's a 170 you may need to special order it. I'd also get a throttle lock so you can rest your right wrist for a minute or two before it hurts constantly. I-10 has FL panhandle, Gulf Coast and New Orleans on the way. Normally I would enjoy that if the weather was nice and I wasn't afraid of getting sick. I suppose I haven't hidden my feelings but since the topic was brought up...... So far as distance riding it, I find my 30 inch inseam to get a little cramped. I've ridden my Sport as far as N Carolina hills from OKC, and to Austin for a few trips and Arkansas for maybe more. So all of these were 350-450 mile days. Typically take a Tylenol or Advil before you go. Don't drink more that one cup of coffee. Hydrate properly. Eat light but often. Get off the bike and rest, particularly if your legs, back or wrists get cramped. Fatigue is the enemy, rest or stop.
