Daytona 1988. Guzzi content at last. If you ever wondered what 5am practice was like at the TT, here you go. Lining up in the paddock for an early morning practice session. More work on the bike at the TT. Here the 750 engine is fitted for the Senior race and we have the cylinders off on the 600 engine. Got a fan club as well by the looks. They look well made. Nice that they are plug and play with the resistor 'kit' It would be nice to know what size resistor would accomplish this as simply as they have done. Without having to dive into the dash panel and fiddle with the idiot light or solder something somewhere to make them flash. I did buy some recommended units for that but they were quite large, encased in alm, and got very hot. I threw them out. Cleaned up nicely! I love old wood, so would be trying to preserve some panels, beams or structural members. Makes such a great backdrop for the photo shoots. (I also get the "brighten it up" thing . . . . so maybe just keep the wood up front toward the doors?) She looks quite happy in her new digs!

I think someone in the group here has used the moto science signals and/or mirrors? If so, any comments? Thinking of messing with “upgrading” the stock signals. Great synopsis Docc, and good points. My personal experience with a suspension swap shows Ohlins is clearly better "off the shelf" than the stock unit. Regarding Guzzi spec Ohlins, ...idk for sure but when my '03 Ohlins were rebuilt at Ducati Indy by Matt Carr, a Duc and Ohlins certified tech, he said he could tell no differences, when asked directly, and that they took standard Ohlins service parts. I don't know why they would build a cheaper/lower quality piece for MG, but it's possible. I do know that '02 Guzzi spec Ohlins differ from '03 and up.

That would be a personal opinion . I do know I would like to have one with Ohlins suspension to see if they are all that . There is one thing I KNOW , every time I get near my bikes , I cannot see why these bikes are not in everyone's garage .
