My Griso 8v and V11 LeMans. Both are amongst the best sporting Guzzi’s of recent years. The demise of the big block Guzzi’s is why I cannot get excited about anything in their current line up. Bobbers and small block Adventure bikes just don’t do it for me I’m afraid .....

I've made my reservations. Now on to my Roper Plate and Caruso timing gears.

Every time I look at the way the light falls across that image, I think it distills the basic elements of the V11 Sport: A lot of motor, a shapely way to give it fuel, a clear sense of direction, and a place to hang on . . .

**Resolved** I am happy and mildly embarrassed to report that adding a bit more FUEL to the fully drained tank fixed the sputter. I will never know if the "original" sputter was due to old bilge fuel in the lower reaches of the tank. But that latest sputter was absolutely the result of a low fuel condition. Thank you to Docc and all the rest of you for your advice -- some of which I plan to add to my "to do" list for the bike.

Thanks Hammershaug I am going to try and kill two birds I guess. I need the OS that will run both Guzzidiag and Tune ECU for my KTM. I think the last time I connected to the KTM I was on win 8 but I suspect finding a driver and cable adapter for a current Mac will be challenging. I'll look into running that on win10 if that's what Guzzidiag prefers. It's this type of thing that makes me miss carburetors!!

Hello All. I have my 1100 engine on the bench ready for a new paint job. My plan was to strip the cases using paint stripper, then remove heads, barrels, timing cover and have them blasted and painted separately. I tried using Nitromors, but it had no effect. Even tried wrapping it in cling film and leaving it on overnight. Does anyone know of a paint stripper that actually works? If I can't solve this, my options are: 1- Paint over existing finish - This seems risky as I will not know if it is going to work until I have the bike completely re-assembled and running. 2- Strip out the cases and have them blasted as well. - Seems like a lot more work + numerous special tools required. Interested to hear about other's experiences of painting the engine

Hi I ought to add mine to the register, it’s a 2003 with 15,000 miles. Previous owner bought it from Teasdale Motorcycles (a Guzzi dealer here in the UK) I’ve hardly used it in the past year as I’m currently awash with V11’s and a Griso. For the past 3 months been using my Greenie, and my 1999 Silver red framed Sport

@Bbennett, what is the status of the relays on your Sport? I ask because the V11 Relay #5 has to carry 22.5 amps, continuous, to the fuel pump, injectors, and coils. Under-rated relays (20 amp NO) get hot and fail. This shows up, then, as a "heat related" fuel and ignition failure. (I would still make sure there is more than 3/4 gallon of fuel in that tank. A couple gallons and try again . . .)

It is always good to know what makes one crazy. Sometimes, people are crazy and no one knows why . . .

So, I go to get an O-ring for the brake pedal stop on the Sport and the conversation turns from "What's this for? Something weird?" to "Are you a player?" to: check out this steel player and how these things are tuned . . .

My Guzzi makes 77 hp at the rear wheel. It's an 1100, not a 900 Sportster. But it doesn't have new cams, intake, exhaust & valves jobs. Buell was able to get those engines to go.

I guess mine is properly termed a V11 Sport Naked, but I call her Claudia (as in Cardinale). Why? Because Sophia (Loren) and Gina (Lollobrigida) were already taken by my buddy's Italian stereo speakers that cost nearly as much as his BMW car.

That guy sounds like his head bolt was torqued too tight. The other day I told someone I ride a lime green Moto Guzzi, and he says, “a V11 Sport?” See, he ID’d “My Green Goddess”, no problem.
