  1. It's worth checking the engine breather hose on top of the engine which does degrade and leak, spreading oil far and wide. Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk

  2. My 2003 Black framed burgundy Sport is one of my favorites, the ride is sublime, and it feels just a tad more planted on high speed sweepers compared to the Red frames. I guess that’s the extra fame bracing of the black frame

  5. Thx gentleman. Understood on all comments but for better or worse my present stable and interests lie in relatively unmolested very close if not original low mileage examples as they are all exercised regularly and in good order. Its just my special and unique kind of sickness............ at least that's what my Wife says. I'm finding it very interesting that no one appears to have an original Tenni from the factory that has good cases........ as stated before I have seen with my own eyes machines of that year and era that are virtually blemish free with one having over 80,000 klms Will continue my pursuit. Any and all please contact me.

  6. A couple other aspects of the evolution of the South'n SpineRaid come to mind . . . This idea* started in 2004 when my warranty was up, my dealer was out, and I had only ever seen one other V11 Sport (and that dude had sold his). I figured it would be good to gather these up and compare notes. That has turned out to be an awesome benefit of the South'n Spine Raid! For a while, a "Tech(nical)Session" was pre-planned. We measured reardrive temperatures relative to gear lube selection, measured the offsets of swingarms, performed "Decent Tune-ups", and so on. After a time, it became apparent that someone's V11 already has a TechSession cooked up for us and will reveal itself. That's when the motto became "Get There. Bring Tools." Originally, I thought the location should be easily accessible from all directions. For a couple years, we met at a nice motel by the interstate with a restaurant across the parking lot. After that closed, we wandered around for a few years before settling on the cabins that are The Lodge at Tellico. The proximity to great riding, enclosed garage, and comfortable common area remain a good mix. "Dry" counties have been avoided as the post-ride gathering times are essential to the mission. Another feature that changed over time is the format for Saturday. After a series of incidents (nothing serious), I stopped planning and "leading" a group ride. Raiders are encouraged to study the area and gather in squad-size groups (from solo to four or five). This served to enhance safety, relax the atmosphere, and really charges the story telling under the pavilion on Saturday night since folks went off on so many different adventures and experiences. Win-win! It would be really great to see other Spine Raids. After all, it's just an idea, but without any intellectual property®©™ strings attached . . .

  7. The top transmission mount on both sides where the trans connects to the frame. Look at my V11/Daytona thread. I did a comprehensive repair in that thread with lots of images and explanations. Ciao

  8. True enough. Well, stuck as we are, this seemed the most expedient solution. But, one wonders, why have a bleeder on the slave at all? It's an all uphill system. Why not place the line in the bleeder's location and simply bleed at the master, where the air will migrate in any event? They must have a variation on the KISS principle: KICS - keep it complicated, stupid!

  9. Chanclas are as much a throwing weapon as footwear. Don't you have any Phillipino or Latino neighbors? It's a fine art, and deadly. Just ask any kid.

  10. With us Bill there is no point in worrying. Bungendore is a sort of Las Vegas for Tiger Snakes and Browns are common. It's just something you live with, like bears in your neck of the woods but at least with snakes if they do kill you it won't be with any sort of malice! As for Erika? She's a scientist. Deeply committed and fully aware of the dangers. She's not like those idiots you see on YouTube trying to pat lions or stroke a bison! I worry more about her being attacked by some toothless meth-head in Queanbeyan than I do about her fondling of venomous animals. Mind you I'd hate to be the meth-head who tried it on with her! She's a not insubstantial young woman used to hard physical labour and while she's not a fighter I feel that a right uppercut followed by a left hook would probably render most aggressors senseless on the ground with birds tweeting around their head like a cartoon villain!😆

  12. I had a spare hugger so I cut the centre piece out and cable tied it to the inside of the swingarm, you can just see it in the pic i think it’s important not to cover the swingarm as I’ve seen a few rusty ones here in the uk due to never being cleaned

  13. Well done! When you removed that huge OEM rear hugger, did you replace it with anything else? I am at that point with my '04 Ballabio right now, seeking to protect the shock.

  16. Well worth the visit. Guzzis predominated. Some well used 70s and 80s Guzzis and a very nice Magni. More new than old Ducatis present and a couple of Morinis, but no Laverdas that I noticed. Only one V11 other than my Tenni. Lots of very nice Ferraris, Maseratis, Alfas and a few Lancias too. Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk

  17. Love the Tony Foale frame, never seen it before, I cetainly did not know he was so involved with Guzzi racers. I have a set of Tony Foale leading link forks that I believe were were for a T3 sidecar set up with the name proudly cast into the disc caliper mount arms. At the moment the lower section is fitted to my Triumph 900 outfit using homemade down tubes.

  18. Centauro a sportbike? Can we call it a Power-Cruiser instead? But it was a spineframe, so I assume it handles similarly to the Sports and V11s. People who like 'em really like 'em.

  19. Well you won't have to worry about mice!😆 We get Tigers, Red-Bellied Blacks and Eastern Brown snakes in our yard Bill and the Garage is full of Redback spiders too which are pretty nasty. Any of the three common snakes will kill you, the Eastern Brown is in the top five most venomous in the world! They're generally OK though. If we leave them alone they leave us alone. Its my daughter that worries me. She works for the Dept of environment and conservation and one of her projects is studying Whip Snake numbers. Problem is the little whip snakes, (Which are venomous but have tiny, ineffectual little fangs.) live under the same rocks and logs as dirty great big Eastern Browns and she gaily goes around 'Counting' them by picking up their cover and annoying the shit out of them! She hasn't been bitten......Yet!
