  2. Thanks for the thread guys. I've had my V11 a few months but mostly ride my TDM for the commute to work. One day I took the V11 and when I got to my exit of the motorway on my way home, I found the back brake was completely ineffective. I too realised that I may have been inadvertently been dragging the back brake (different bikes, different lever positions), causing it to "fail". After a couple more miles, with my boot well away from the lever, the pedal came back to life. I will also look for a decent spring to add to the pedal.
  3. Hi I have just read this thread and wondered whether there was any update. I have a V11 Le Mans, live in the UK, and am interested in the plate. Thanks Rob
  4. Hi I just thought I would confirm that there was a short at the back of the bike. The routing of the wire for the registration plate light meant that the wire was pinched just behind the bulb holder. I cut the wires re-connected them with bullet connectors, then routed the cable to the side of the obstruction. Now all seems to be ok. Thanks for the advice of where to start looking. Rob

I have my V11 on a multi-bike policy with Carole Nash. It's a 2003 V11 Le Mans, though the chap said their system said the Le Mans started at 2004, they just put a note on the system that it was a 2003 bike. I called again a couple of days later and the lady I spoke to that time said it was ok & it's not unusual.

  7. Thanks Kiwi_Roy I have a test bulb with a couple of wires soldered on to it, so I'll give it a go. I recently removed the rear rack, which required the inner moulding of the mudguard to be removed, so I wonder whether something has got caught in there. Rob
  8. Hey I bought a 2003 V11 Le Mans in Titanium Grey last month, to join the other bikes in the garage. So far I'm really enjoying it, though I've just got back from 1100 mile trip around Spain on my TDM900, so it's nice to ride the Guzzi for a bit. Happy riding everyone! Rob
  9. Hi I realise that this thread is pretty old now, however I have the same problem with my 2003 V11 Le Mans. The 5 amp fuse for the dash & tail light had blown. I didn't have a spare 5 amp fuse, so I put a 10 amp one in temporarily, however that also blew within 5 miles. I'm didn't ride it in the dark after replacing the fuse, so I don't know if both dash lights work, however when I turn the ignition key to lock the steering, I have noticed that the tacho backlight comes on momentarily. Any help would be great. Rob
