  2. WELL...I'm back into the Guzzi fold again, not a spine frame, though. Ended up with a really clean '14 Griso. It's fairly amazing the difference between a '95 Sport 1100 and this thing.
  3. Ebay and Craigslist in Colorado Springs. I'm really kicking myself for not being a bit more on the ball. If I lived closer, it would be MINE. Oh well. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2002-Moto-Guzzi-Scura-/222673056254?hash=item33d85931fe%3Ag%3AqlAAAOSwQJFZznUm&autorefresh=true&vxp=mtr&nma=true&si=moZJ6o%252BilSVWM3djtxGxeLVD29o%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
  4. Anyone here get Scura #272 yesterday? I was so close to buying that, but the logistics were killing me since it was 13 hrs away. Looked like a really nice bike.
  5. Guzzi brought in '16 models that were unsold in Europe as '17 models here.
  6. I like the silver frame/ gray swing arm of the early Grisos much better than the more recent black frame. If I could find an 06/07 model within reasonable distance, I'd probably snag one.
  7. EICMA is coming up soon, maybe some new generation water-cooled Guzzis will be shown. Just no more small blocks, please, unless there's a V7 Baja TT in the works. Looks like there will be more than a few leftover '16 and fake '17 leftover Grisos around at good prices. I paid $8200 for my leftover Sport 1100 in '96 and 2016 Grisos are just a bit more which is hard to believe 21 years later!
  8. Just curious, what post-spine bike would you pick? I think at least one Australian has professed appreciation for the 8v Griso. I'm still Guzzi-less, mostly due to having my daily driver 4-wheeler stolen, liability only insurance.
  9. I'm going to guess Scud is correct, original owner had a broken speedo cable ( and only got it replaced when he traded it in). I really wanted the bike to be awesome, it was a real kick in the gut to have to walk away after driving so far.
  10. Seller also stated (but not before I was looking at the bike in person) that the clutch and front brake pads had been replaced. Seems a little early for that unless you're trying to preempt a Scura grenade.
  11. I looked at a 2004 Ballabio today, supposedly with @7500 miles. I noticed the speedo and tach needles were not the same shade of orange, with the speedo looking brighter while the tach needle was duller. Is there any other reason than a replacement speedo for this? They looked the same in photos. I passed on the bike. It looked great in pics, but to me looked dirty and tired on inspection, especially for just 7500 miles. Not implying the present owner of any shadiness. It's over 10 years old, so there is no legal requirement for " actual mileage". I'm trying to end the lack of Guzzi in my life since 2001 (ex-owner of a 1995 Sport 1100), just haven't found the right bike close enough to me. Today was an almost 900 mile round trip and came up empty handed...that stung a bit.
