  1. Ok, a lot of documentation coming. But in the meantime I can't adjust the CO Trim. It's at 33 and despite following the steps, setting it to zero, when I open Guzzidiag back up its back to 33. What am I doing wrong? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. Two days to get here. Not bad. As soon as the kids are in bed I can plug it in. It looks like someone jammed an Allen wrench into the Torx screw. I need to be careful and get those out and replaced. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Even if you don't like the twin lights you have to admit they are iconic. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. This is the one I have: http://www.harborfreight.com/450-lb-low-lift-transmission-jack-61232.html Rated at 450 lbs which is probably just a little low for a V11. They do have a higher rated one at 800lbs. http://www.harborfreight.com/800-lb-low-lift-transmission-jack-69685.html
  5. The stalk at the bottom? I suppose you are right, not planning on putting a supercharger on the ol' V11, are we?
  6. I have a transmission jack but it's not rated high enough to lift a bike. I think it's only good for 250lbs.
  7. It's not possible to Google V11 Sport and not find those pictures.
  8. The photo isn't loading...
  9. The Casper cable shipped today. I should see it this week. I have a lot of Torx bits, I'll need to see if any of them fit. Up here I go to Tacoma Screw. There are probably places that are closer but they don't care if you buy 1000 washers or one. Plus they are up in NE Portland and not far from the Guzzi dealer...
  10. Does it have that much more plastic than the V11? Certainly looks about the same as a Lemans. More than the naked and bikini bikes.
  11. Ok, the back end is not that bad, but something happened to the front. It got fat.
  12. He's probably not far off. Same vintage as the V11 Sport. Mostly the same specs. Seat cowl, fairing, shaft drive... That yellow is tasty.
  13. Someone tried to tell me Guzzi copied the green from the early Speed Triple. I had to remind them of where the Guzzi green came from and it wasn't from Triumph. That being said the Triumph green was pretty similar and did come out earlier that the V11. But it's a triple and bit more hp. I wouldn't turn one down, especially in green.
  14. Nope, I like the noise! Heck, I'm making most of it!
  15. So I was out riding with my friend and his Ducati the other day. As we were stopped we talked about bikes similar to the V11 Sport. One that came to mind was his 961 Norton. Twin cylinder, roughly 1000cc, pushrods and such. Power is similar with the Norton about 80hp stock. They feel similar in the way they ride, although I think the Guzzi is a little bigger. At about $20k + for a new Norton they definitely aren't cheap, and they are rare. You know a bike is rare when there are more Guzzis than those. What other bikes are similar to the V11 Sport? Ducati Sport Classics?
  16. They look like earlier valve covers, like the ones on my 850. But there is a good chance they are custom.
  17. Looks like a 900SS fairing. And a bunch of farkles. A bunch.
  18. He takes them off and uses them to secure parts to the fuselage. Like big Rok Straps! Now you can see if I ever update this thread I'll need to edit the first post because of all the noise that follows.
  19. That and a hundred will get you a front tire these days.
  20. Here's another great tutorial. While it says it's for a Quota I think they are pretty similar. http://www.thisoldtractor.com/moto_guzzi_quota_guzzidiag_howto_-_a_tutorial_for_beginners.html A video for setting the CO.
  21. That's the only flavor of Gatorade I drink. Seems appropriate.
  22. Agreed. I stick a length of .020 safety wire in the female side of the two wires, push the connector together, attach a couple of alligator clips, and Robert's your Mother's brother. Saves 30 dollars. (Guzzi content) Now you tell me.
  23. Breakout cable ordered. It was $30 with shipping. We need to get one of those Chinese places to knock it off for $5.
  24. Poking the wires seems barbaric.
