  1. Well. What’s to be said . I have just had the best ride on my V11 since I bought it three years ago. Now armed with the knowledge you guys have passed on I feel totally confident in looking after the old girl for years to come. I am really chuffed. All that studying of the feeds on here has paid off. Docc if I ever have the pleasure of meeting you in the flesh , the beers are on me. Now where’s my keys I’m going out again !!!
  2. Well . I just couldn’t wait busted out of work early and got on with it Success . Just as estuaryguzz said. Now my CO trim is sitting at zero . Can’t wait to go out for a blast . Letting the traffic get over the rush hour then I’m outa here . Will report back on the results . 👍
  3. Yes I did , I shall try that again but ime sure I also just killed the switch and not at the key . Be a few days before I get the opportunity again though . Thanks guys for your comments it helps to share these problems for sure
  4. Thanks for replying docc. The motor was up to temp. I had readings as follows ; Co trim -81 Engine temp.; 60 Advanced ignition ; 16 Air pressure 1030. I went to faults at one stage after reading back on this forum. Showed no faults. Clicked read faults all clear. Tried again to reset Co trim after clicking view / COtrim. Had the window with value again at -81 and plus / minus but when tried to alter had the same . By this time I had stopped the fan I had running and showed an engine temp of 75 degrees . The window that pops up says : A ctive diagnostics cannot be started
  5. Hi All. So I have used guzzi diag for the first time hoping to finalise my tune up as per docs invaluable advice in these forums . I reset the TPS yesterday to 157mv and completed valve adjustment . Thought today I will reset the Co trim and the world will be a better place. Alas the computer says no. When trying to adjust the trim level of -81 !!!! Guzzi diag says and I quote Active diagnostics cannot be started ...... whaaa My bubbles been burst. Could this be the power commander ? Sorry for seeming dim but I don’t know where to go next. ?
  6. Hi Guys I actually had those connectors wrong .However !!! i did eventually find the correct ones from another company here in the uk . The problem for us is the shipping and import duties from the US. With great respect to Casper 20 dollars for the breakout lead then 35 dollars for shipping sort of busts that deal outta here . I have found a company called KOJAYCAT Automotive and Marine. http://kojaycat.co.uk .Spoke with a guy named Colin McLellan .Excellent service very well informed . The part numbers ;150-3W-DUC-TPS and 150-3W-BLK-MAL .Im no auto electrician but managed to make up the lead myself .Total cost £22.00 including delivery .Happy Days .
  7. Hi guys looks like I’m getting more and more busy on this forum. !! Just returned from a 200 mile blast from Portsmouth to Banbury and back on my Greenie . She still looks pretty as I give her lots of love . Three years together . 19688 miles on the clock . Just fitted a new maxton shock . Replacing the cracked Sachs original . Just serviced her with oils and filters and talking to the gurus about TPS and tune up . Loving her still number ZGUKROOOOXM111488
  8. Hi guys for those of us who live in the UK Casper breakout lead for the TPS is difficult to source . However I have found a UK company online selling the parts to make the lead yourself . Autoelectricalsupplies.co.uk The connector was listed as part no: 050603-£4.83 The cable listed as part no : 010702-£0.43 per metre easy to make up and cheap as chips 👍
  9. Ps. Yes Dave I do have the breakout cable 👍
  10. Thanks guys I look forward to the video. Meanwhile as docc suggests I will look again at the decent tune up post. Great site by the way guys , please keep it up and running. Invaluable info for those of us still riding the V11. It’s an exhilarating ride and definitely a crowd puller wherever I take her.
  11. Hi guys.i have owned my Greenie for three years now and after finishing a service of oils , and all filters instead of taking it to a shop ( increasingly hard to find) I want to do the tune up myself. Not being a mechanic (just a wannabe) being a carpenter by trade I am struggling to take on board all the set up information regarding TPS and tune up. It would be great if one of you V11 gurus could post a step by step video on you tube maybe? So I can actually follow through the process. My Greenie is most definitely a keeper and I would love to be able to carry through the whole service process at home. Cheers in anticipation. Gazza

  14. Hi guys Just bought a 15000 mile greenie. Shes gorgeous. However we have clutch slip once warm. Debating wether I should tear her down myself or get her over to my bike shop who says they can handle the job. How big a task for an eager home bike mechanic. (Just rebuilt my R65 from a box of bits ).
