Born in Seattle. Raised in the area. Took civil service job for 31 years, being forced into retirement when I had the nerve to develop cancer. Best thing they ever did to me. In 2008, was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Stage IV. Pathologist stopped counting at 50 tumors and simply stated "innumerable" Buncha' treatment later, was in remission but immediately relapsed. Clinical trial put me back in remission, but relapsed again. Not only that, but the lymphoma split into two types, plus I developed MDS, a bone marrow cancer. Three simultaneous cancers in 2015. A miracle placed me in remission yet again and I then had a stem cell transplant. Now fighting Graft-versus-Host-Disease, in which my donor's immune system is trying to kill me.
