  1. @swooshdave posted a video on YouTube on how to change oil and filter on a V11 Sport. That's a start. And yes, buy a new gasket and pull down the sump. Mine was nasty:
  2. Hi folks! The rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated, just like ol' Mark Twain said. All is good. I have been away from this splendid forum way too long. Hiatus is over, I hope. Not too many trips with Mizz Greenie so far. She runs like a dream, except for the occasional coughing at +/- 3500rpm. Last time I tried to hook up GuzziDiag it failed. I will try again. Would love to load Meinolf's map onto my 15M ECU I hope you all are well and having a good time. (The photo is from the lake Nord-Mesna last Saturday. Captured from my iPhone on a rock using Apple Watch as a self-timer. Yeah, I know.. fancy pants)
  3. Thanks docc. Was it Eclipse or Monsoon you tried? Older series? My Eclipse seems to display the voltage precisely. The auto-dimming functionality worked great last night. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I'm delighted I don't live in fat, drunken disgraceland. (well, actually I do..) Up here we only have to worry about mosquitos and a few grumpy elks.

  12. Thanks for sharing. Very interesting topic. No one has mentioned the cost, so I guess I have to ask Mr. Caruso...
  13. Thanks, guys. I'm planning to mount a steel angle behind the 6mm nut and fastening the hose with a stainless steel-rubber clamp to keep the line away from the crossover. Next up is to mount a SparkBright Eclipse voltage monitor. I did that for another V11 owner today after replacing his defective regulator with a direct connected Shindengen MOSFET regulator. Made a 12mm hole in his carbon instrument panel beneath the rev-counter. On my Greenie I will try to fit it in the original charge lamp place, but the red plastic with the charge sign must be removed because of the auto-dimming feature. Behind the red plastic, the LED will dim too much. It needs to see daylight:)

  16. Great news! Wow, that's a black beauty. Take good care of her.
  17. Please beware of the 30A charging circuit. I've been there... The black ground wire on the voltage regulator bracket is very thin and has too high resistance. If you happen to have a bad main grounding, the charging current may travel back in this wire. Worst case scenario: smoked cable harness and a lot of work. I don't know much, but my advice is to add a better regulator grounding and check all your connections. Even better; replace the original regulator with a directly connected one that not relies on relays to work.
  18. Thanks. I will look into it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Thanks, chief! I sure hope the 3-4000 coughing is gone after the tune-up. Balancing the throttle bodies will be done. It looks like the PO has removed the hose and plugged the intakes with a Pozidrive bolt. Why is that?
  20. Sorry, Guzzidiag won’t open with newer versions of macOS I am afraid. Easiest route is to install Windows 10 Pro on the Mac from Bootcamp. Very simple and free. See my last post.
  21. Field report from the northern hemisphere. Got some spare time this weekend, so I manage to do some tune-up. Checked the valves, which were spot on.(0,15/0,20) Replaced the valve cover bolts - just for the esthetics. Then I hooked up the Caspers breakout cable I borrowed from @Rolf Halvorsen and adjusted the TPS sensor from 120mV to 155mV. Guzzidiag doesn’t work with newer macOS versions, so I installed Windows 10 Pro on my MacBook. Never thought I would mess up my Mac with Windows, but handy to have the ability to boot into Windows when you need to. I’m dreaming of an iOS version of Guzzidiag. I ran into problems with installing the correct FTDI driver. Thanks to «The New Improved GuzziDiag Tutorial» on wildguzzi.com I found a direct link to the executable driver: https://www.griso.org/CDM21228_Setup.zip The rest is self-explanatory and easy to do. My CO trim went from -40 to 0. Then the rain came… Test-drive have to wait untill tomorrow. Meanwhile I thinking about Meinolfs map...
