  1. Likewise, right on! Now maybe I can stop stuffing cut up aluminum beer cans in my front crossover connectors! Dx
  2. I'd be up for a set, at around $100.00 if there's that much interest. Andy DiMizio
  3. Forgot to add my Ti cans are the oval ones.
  4. Tom, This is the set up I have on my 03 Rosso Corsa. The Ti cans are nice, but actually look alot like the aluminum, but don't corrode or oxidize like the aluminum. I'd say it's snob appeal, more than anything, although they resist dings better too. I don't think they are particularly loud....seems a lot of folks say that about the Carbon cans. I ride w/o earplugs for 100 mile jaunts. The Stucchi xover did cure the stumble at 4K. Be sure to get the PC and lidless airbox set up to complete the set up, it really honks at 5K up to redline! Andy

    ahh that's classic! ROTFLMAO
  7. Yeah your'e most likely right about the Ducati's but I'd rather have my left nut removed than to ever deal with Trevor Dunn again. Hopefully he's been co-opted by the Pro-Italia corporaton so with luck, you'll only have to deal with the "Nice Trevor". Fool me once, fool me twice...
  8. I hate to say it, but I just push / pull, push / pull like a maniac and the thing comes off. I'd really prefer a threaded coupler and manual fuel tap. I give this thing about 5 years and then it'll crap out.......
  9. For gods sake, don't believe a Guzzi speedo! 110 fo extended time on a V11 sport! You go, right on! Droyd
  10. Very interesting, mine wasn't close to that. Andy
  11. My bike had done this since day one....not enough to be anything other than an annoying stinky mess on my crossover. I'll get around to it pretty soon. One thing I have noticed when replacing my gear box oil is that with .850 liters, there is no oil visible in the level sight window, even when the bike is level, onstand etc, even tilted towards it. I ended up hedging my bets by slowly increasing the measured amount until I could just barely see it at the bottom of the window. Anybody else noticed this, or have comments on the oil level in the gearbox? Andy
  12. My thoughts and hopes go out to Vespa New Orleans, where I bought my Rosso Corsa. She's now happy she's in Southern California now, where all we have to worry about is earthquakes, brush fires, mud slides and assorted civil disturbences. To all the public safety folks in the way of the storm, stay safe!
  13. Carl, I got my shop stand from MG cycles. It works fine, cost maybe $140.00 with a spool to lift the front wheel off . I stuck some Guzzi Eagle transfers on it to biff it our and haven't had any problems. I can bring it in for you if you want to check it out. Let me know and I'll drop it off at your "office". Fireman Andy
  14. Carl, That's a ditto for me....it was the very first mod I did to my Rosso, followed shortly by removing the DOT reflectors on the front forks, and all the EPA charcoal cannister crud. How ya doing? Andy
  15. I just got back from Laguna Seca....enjoyed the show, tons of good things to see and do, lots of great people (maybe too many). Next to the Aprilla display Moto Guzzi had a few well worn models on display. A shoddy Coppa' Italia, a Breva 750 and maybe a Calif, or Stone. All the bikes were in need of a cleaning/polishing, none of the cool new models to check out, no handouts, no back drops, illustrations, just two guys sitting in a couple lawn chairs paying no heed to interested bystanders..... It was a travesty of a tragedy of a mockery of a sham....
  16. I'll be up there, but I won't be on my LeMans. I'm going up with my 12 y.o. son. Don't like the thought of a pillion rider with all the crazed bikers. Tickets, except general admission are long since sold out and forget about a hotel room within 100 miles. I got 2 Sunday grandstand tickets off EBay for $175.00 (face value 15.00 each) and a 3 day paddock (40.00) pass for $206.00 .......ouch I scrounged possibly the last hotel room in Monterey...$229 + tax So the entire weekend will be around $1000.00 and my son gets in for free on the paddock and general admission! Oh well, I'm excited about it. Andy
  17. BTW, what country are those "Soccer Hooligans" from?
  18. Re: your tank suck problem. You might find that the valve was installed backwards from the factory. Vertical or not it won't allow it to pull in air. Mine was like this when I checked it. I removed the valve completely when I chucked the smog stuff. Andy
  19. Hmm, the pins in the connectors always has worked for me. The TPS itself is very sensitive to movement and is vexing to try to dial in. I think I started at .125mv with everything closed down.....maybe a little more than 525mv..more like 575 at 1100....is where I think I left it at after balancing, etc. Bike runs strong through all ranges, and I have a stuchi x over FBF airbox lid elimiantor filter and Mistral Ti Oval silencers with a PC commander....self tuned to gud enuf standards. Andy
  20. Yeah, I went "De-lux" and use a fitted red sheet! Andy

Tank slapper 3mcrap is my experience with this product exactly.
  22. My 03 LeMans had the vapor emmison 1 way valve installed backwards from the Mfg. Do you have the dreaded "tank suck"? Once I pulled off all the smog crap the bike ran great. You're on the right track... go fer it. Andy
  23. Welcome fellow Rosso Corsa rider! The same thing happened to me when I saw mine. You will definitely enjoy the handling and torque, I am always amazed by the machine's capability. Regarding the number of units made...I was told "300", but I firmly believe Guzzi would crank out as many units as it could, as long as they sold. Even numbered editions of the Guzzi V11 series are suspect in being limited in production Anyway, when you can, do all the mods (exhaust, intake, PC and comfort) that are well detailed in this forum, you won't be displeased. Also, don't expect too much during the first few 1000 miles...they do break in and the vibes quell somewhat and the revs become easier to come by. About the riding position: I am 6' 1" and live with the standard set up: my body just takes a few 100+ mile trips to break in! Congrats and Ride Fast, Safely, Andy
