Thanks Doc,couldn't think of the official name for this part, but "chin pad" sounds right, also good heads up on compressing this pad, I'd sure hate to loose it. Kindoy2, good thinking on the bag shimming, this fix never occurred to me. Just goes to show that combined,great minds can fix any problem. I'm going to give it a try.

Got one on my 2000 V11 sport. The only trouble that I had is the thick foam strip forward of the gas cap,makes it hard to install the bag. You have to really push down hard to get it to latch. I considered shining up the attach ring with some shims, but that would make the ring stand out more, so I decided that I would live with just compressing the foam down when I mount the bag. The latter bikes had smooth tank tops,no problem with them.

So for those of you keeping score,it looks like the list for round two is as follows: Kane (2) Tom (2) Vic (1) Hammershaug (1) Footgoose (2) Doslemans (1) Vee eleven (1) TOTAL (10) This looks like a good start.

My thought was to keep the design and material as affordable as possible. Magnesium would be very light, but maybe costly. 1/4 in cold rolled steel plate would be inexpensive, the left side is simple only needing a small section milled down where it bolts to the pork chop ( to keep it from pivoting), the right side also needs this milled section, plus a round bunt, welded,or brazed at the point where the brake lever attach bolt goes to beef this section up. Steel is heavy,but these brackets are small enough that weight shouldn't be a big deal. To futher keep the cost down,they could be offered in the raw, since everyone has there own color preferences, let the buyer do the final painting/powder coating. My idea is to keep the cost within reason, so that more folks would be willing to try a different foot peg position with out breaking the bank. I don't see why two simple brackets need to cost $300.

Wow these are going like hot cakes, I wouldn't be surprised if you end up selling 20 on this go around.

AF1 Racing has the right side for $198. The left side isn't as bad at only $83. Plus S/H. So for the pair around $300.

Parts that I'd like to see made by Pressureangle are foot peg lowering brackets, similar in design to what was used on the Centauro. They wouldn't have to be cast aluminum, simple plate steel might be cheaper and stronger. The Guzzi parts are hard to find and silly expensive for what they are. Also since Chuck no longer is making the "lucky Phill" shift extension arms, this might be another possibility. I'm very glade that they are still making the Roper plates.

For those wondering, the good news is that Pressureangle is still selling the roper plate, I just ordered one today. Thanks Eric!

Gstallon, I like your idea of bolting on the extension, like you said this way you can go back if it doesn't work right,thanks for you input.

The ones that you made are so nice,like they came from the factory, the welded extension mod probably won't be to pretty. But I understand that your glade to be finished with this project. Time to break out the old mig machine and see what I can do. Thanks for your reply!

Hello Chuck, Don't want to be a neusence, but I just wanted to check to see if there's any more interest in a second batch of these. Sounds like your barried in other projects, I can relate to that. I'm getting ready to install a Centauro shift lever on my V11 and thought this would be a good time to upgrade the shift arm. Please keep us posted if you decide on doing another batch. Thanks!

Thanks for checking,I think that the "pork chop"section of the frames are the same. The Centauro has a bracket on both sides that drops the pegs down and forward. The brake and shift levers are longer to match this positioning.

I have been wanting to lower the foot pegs on my V11 sport, and thought that the Centauro pegs/ levers might be a good option. So I'd be interested in the foot pegs,the foot brake lever,and the shift lever,plus the linkage. Thank you for your consideration.

Your lucky to own a set,it's easy for life to get in the way of our hobbies, there's always something that needs our attention before we get to working on the bike. Since you have a set still in the box,any chance that you could post some photos of the individual parts, I'd like to see what would be involved in having the pieces made up locally. This is probably a lot to ask,but if you find the time, it would be a help in determining the scope of a project like this.

Hi Al, thanks for your post and the "Mortratech" page. Like you said there may not be enough interest ,due to the small number of these bikes to make a business out of producing them. But it seems to be a real waste,that all this development and engineering will never be used again. It would be great if at least the drawings were some how beening made available, so that all this work is not just lost. His setup seems to me to be the best answer to the problem of the V11 foot pegs.

Good question, I'd really love to get a set. Maybe if there's enough interest some one with the skills will start making them again. We can only hope.
