  1. I unloaded this new companion to my good old black buddy. Hope we all age gracefully together Black buddy will get some nice carbon parts and a new Lightscreen to feel proper next to T078.
  2. she owned a 1100 California Jackal but liked to goof around with my Quota. She tried the V11 too but never found the confidence in city without having big handlebars.
  3. another centennial documentary about Moto Guzzi done by the community of Mandello del Lario with a different perspective that i found interesting. and i also liked the sound of lombardian italian voices
  4. Part 2 is even better - [you need to switch Caption to automatic english translation] and yes i always kiss the holy ground after i jumped ship successfully
  5. a true bulldog bike shopped used for 600bucks in 2009 - living in a friends farm house in northwest spain now - only 10kms to the atlantic coast. The GB 500 was my initial dream bike !!!! - but as usual totally unaffordable in those days for poor me - 10000 DM was the sticker price Honda dealers asked for in 1992. I drove the 3000km from here to Santiago de Compostela in three and a half days through rain and fog. Today it is , according to the spanish Honda Classic Club, one of 6 XBRs registered in Spain. Cause in the 80ies Spain was not Honda Country as it is today. As outcome of Franco politics they started importing foreign bikes in 1986. Before Guzzi was the only "foreign" brand known. Argentino and guzzi owner De Tomaso had a factory and deal with "el Caudillo and his gang".
  6. initially wanted the black edition - but then i spotted the Maico 500 sticker on the swingarm and i knew the first owner was my type of guy
  7. this is how bike hording starts - you are mentally not able to depart with your totally dead old horse
  8. this is a different track near Stuttgart https://www.solitude-revival.org/ MotoGP Fan Zone auf Twitter: "Giacomo Agostini on a Moto Morini finished 4th in the 250cc race at Solitude. 1964 German Grand Prix https://t.co/PdwOpD7fxC" / Twitter
  9. hilarious especially the overtaking of the bus ! That is so Nordschleife Nürburgring ! Seriously - i would never dare to ride there with my skills i would be dead crashing the infamous bus or some wannabee jeremy clarkson in his car. HAPPY NEW YEAR ! and thanks for the warm welcome
  10. the honda was an amazing fun bike but was traded for the occasion of a nearly mint MG Quota ES 1100 first owner from new
  11. germans usually do the same - hence the difference for BMW - she the bike / he the car but i tend to give certain bikes male names - if they are outstanding hardworking pieces of engineering as this V11 ! It was my first italian bike that was a true brother Compared to your collection and the other amazing machines shown in this community most of my bikes are daily rides or just goofy memories with the exception of the old gp maico.
  12. sister ? it is a hard working brother (1999 first series) without much modifications other than parts, broken by crashes on mountain roads within the last 15 years. front wheel, brakes and exhaust collector donated from centauro review mirrors and handlebars- street legal after market parts steering damper from a later Le Mans In it´s younger days it was a nearly mint example but 14 years later ...
  13. cooling down after the ritual end of year one hour fun ride
  14. i just stumbled across your forum post while researching possible V11 tenni bikes for sale. Just in case you do not know there seem to be a little wave on tenni le mans available here in europe now - i suppose some owners depart after many years to get the new V100 in the same kind of colour style ? https://www.dasparking-motorrad.de/gebrauchtmotorrader/moto-guzzi-tenni.html maybe the dutch offer is worth your attention ? Or you try contact https://tlm.nl/brand/moto-guzzi/ - these people are experts in sourcing rare guzzi originals - but you need to pay the price tag. hope i do not bother you and sorry for my poor english writing skills have a great guzzi time !
