  1. I think they fit the same. Because Aprilia from the beginning figured out that they would else have to make two mudgards. Aftermarket Cf for aprilia isn't that expensive. Normaly 100euro will do.
  2. I have a pair from a 2002 v11 le mans, I don't know if the internals are the same, the are a bit bent, but the internals should be ok.
  3. what do you need Murray, when you have the sump, it is all you need?
  4. looking great Jaap, now waiting for the exhaust.
  5. well I have also 730mm forks from an rsv in my bike. But I have the headangle set 2 degree steeper, what makes the front come up, and the best is, it handles great like this. You won't recognize the bike. What v11 do you want to put them in?
  6. Could be that a griso fender fits too. I got one for my radial rsv mile forks, front fits but not the back, and thats where the radial and non radial ones differ.
  7. In your picture it doent look in line, moving it half a turn doesn't work? I don't know the number of teeth.
  8. Well mine went out too, not because they were bad, but swingarm extension. The only way Starwin could get them out, was welding on the bearing, from that it shrinks. But you will need to repaint the swingarm. They only turm a few degrees.
  9. Just the big bolts. Get the shaft of the bike before greasing, that way, you can feel if the joints are nice moving. And gives you the chance to clean nice.
  10. Easy to see what it looks inside is when you take of the starter engine, and get the cover of the gearbox. First get oil out :-) The scura boxes are outside any recall range. Only thing known to happen often, is that the sping breaks, inside the cover. But that doesn't lead to a lockup. The final drive can be a problem to, but they are very robust. Other than the small nosebearing I've not seen anything there.
  11. I hate caravans too. And the pipes are the original Scura ones.
  12. Andy, the 8v has a complete different layout. It has a double pump, one part is for the bearings, one part is for the heads. The oil cooler is in the circuit for the heads. So the connection for the cooler, is on the right side of the engine, ans the oil from the cooler goes to the heads. Look at the picture. MAybe the oil lines from the stelvio are good for relocation, look at a stelvio next to yours. You can use your cooler I think.
  13. best place is almost where the header pipes go in the crossover, so just 2 inches on the header, seen from the crossover. ANd on top of the pipe. here in the picture you see the place.
  14. Good thing that you started to loose some weight. I have seen a number of guys having diabetes, all are way to heavy. I had the same idea, gained 5 kg last year, and felt that couldn't go on. So I started loosing weight, have lost 7 kg so far. Pretty easy I must say. Now it's going slower. But I'm feeling much better now. What I did: - only one glass alcohol a day - nothing after evening meal - no cookies or sweet - one dish less at evening meal Eating vegetarian helps too, but I do that for 30 years.
  15. No Pete, the mgs has a chain oilpump setup, the same as the v11. I sometimes run my engine to 9000, only on the track where it is usefull to take it a bit higher, just before the next corner is there, easyer then shifting fo the few meters.
  16. it just fits in, no work or parts required.
  17. well no diagram, what is a big difference between a-kit and c-kit, is the lift. Thats why a a-kit cam can't be made in a c-kit. Daytona/Centauro intake open 22° 30' B.T.D.C. intake closes 57° 30' after BDC. exhaust open 49° 30' before BDC exhaust Closes 12° 30' after TDC Daytona RS, c kit intake open 22° 30' B.T.D.C. intake closes 69° 30' after BDC exhaust open 63° 30' before BDC exhaust closes 28° 30' after TDC MGS01 minibook Intake opens at 36° before TDC Intake closes at 69° 30' after BDC. Exhaust opens at 64° before BDC Exhaust closes at 38° after TDC. When I get cams in, I can see if I can make a diagram. With a head on the table. I have different cams in now(Dynotec), somewhere between a and c kit. Good for the road.
  18. Correct, the mapping is the difference. C kit cams might not be available, but mgs01 cams are. And cheaper then the c kit ones. I just ordered a set to see if they deliver them.
  19. I think tlm.nl might have them, send them a mail for price and shipping
  20. from ohlins website: GREECE MOTODYNAMICS S.A. Thessi Kyrillos 19300 Aspropyrgos GREECE Tel. +30 210 62 93 547/8 Fax. +30 210 62 01 745 E-mail: T.Papadopoulos@yamaha-motor.gr From aprilia you can get spare seals, they have them numberd in the rsv parts lists. I'm shure the non radial ohlins in aprilia is the same, maybe the radials too.
  21. well in china they have different copyrights, they have the complete movie on their youtube.... watch from 28.47 http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMTQwMzY4NTY4.html
