  1. Sump flange for early V11 engines. May also fit other years as part number is specific for the paint variant. MSRP $315 USD make an offer.
  2. Harper's has the "bumper" pads but not the metal mounting "plates". I think that I can make the plates using the pads as templates.
  3. Upon making inquiry with AF1 Racing, a Texas motorcycle dealership very conversant on things Moto Guzzi, they provided me with a copy of the attached OEM parts fiche which provides the information that I referenced above. Clearly, there are parts that I need to acquire. I provide this for the forum's information.
  4. Having just received a bare OEM luggage rack for my Centauro, and having received no mounting hardware along with it, I am stymied about the mounting process. It seems that either the missing hardware is a crucial component of the unit, or that this unit is not correct for my Centauro. Can someone illuminate this conundrum for me as I cannot find anything at the usual interweb resources.
  5. Perfect! Thank you. This is exactly what I was looking for. I have found it available through a Canadian distributor and have ordered it through the local retailer. I'll post pictures of the fitment.
  6. It's the " vintage" thing that appears to be the problem. Do you know if the Tuono one would fit?
  7. Tom, thanks for the post in the SW-Motech thread, however, it seems to not show there.

    It began:

Here's what I ordered, fitment proper and works with the big 15-22L SW MOTECH tank bag.  Been in use now about 4 years with no issues.  (Doubt it will...

I'll do the research and get back with you shortly.  Thanks.

      SW-MOTECH quick-lock  EVO Bottom Tank Ring (Aprillia 6 screw)  anuf. # TRT.00.640.17500.

This tank ring works on 2003 and later V11 LeMans.  Can't vouch for prior years due to chin pad interference. (Type 175 EVO) is the Twisted Throttle designation.

I use the very large SW-MOTECH EVO Trial QUICK-LOCK Tank Bag | 15-22L It sits a bit high and back but makes for a good forward leaning rest (however, I do have pretty significant handlebar risers on my bike which faciltates body positioning for comfort.

  8. Indeed, but they have nothing in a tank mount ring that is undrilled, so I have ordered a tail bag mount which I will cut to fit, I hope.🤪

    Harpers ??

As noted by others, Curtis was responsive to the phone call, once he was reached. Issue resolved!

    Centauro

As the Caruso oil pump/gear mod is not yet available and the ETA is uncertain, I would like to find information on the V11 chain drive oil pump mod. Can someone point me to detailed instructions on the Centauro oil pump "to chain drive" conversion?
  11. SW-MOTEC was excellent in terms of speed of response, even if that response was disappointing.
  12. I am looking to fit a SW-Motech tank bag to my 1998 MG Centauro but they do not list a mounting ring that fits. Apparently, the fuel filler ring is shared with the V11. I wonder whether anyone here has found a mounting ring that fit their V11?
  13. Well, here's a challenge for y'all! I'm looking to mount an SW-Motec tank bag on my Centauro. Of course the Motec website does not list the Centauro or even the V11 models. The earliest (and only) MG that they list is the '05-'23 Breva 750. Does anyone here know whether the Breva, or any other motorcycle listed by Motec, has the same gas filler ring 6 bolt pattern as the Centauro?

    Harpers ??

What is going on with Harper Moto these days? I had placed an order of over $100 on August 12 and haven't received it yet. Worse, I have emailed them and they are not responding. I have telephoned Curtis, was told he would call back... crickets! This isn't the service that I had been used to perviously! Anybody know what's up?

    Centauro

So, i have found some front end mods by Joe Caruso, but I'm a bit confused..... There appears to be a cam drive gearset replacement for the V11 cam drive chain. Also, there are oil pump and gear replacementsv for both the hi-cam and the V11 motors. I'm not sure whether Joe Caruso has something for the high-cam engine cam belt drive system. Can someone fill me in on what Joe actually has for the high-cam V10 in the Daytona/Centauro?

    Centauro

Can anyone point me to a comprehensive list of the "necessary" V10 mods? This Centauro of mine is from a collector's garage and has seen very little actual use (7000 miles) and likely no aftermarket mods.

    Centauro

I guess the V10 is older than the V11.
  18. Yes, it's the #3 fuse. He had the R/R die on him so he replaced that with an SH775 unit, and the stator with a Ducati energia unit. So I'm trying to restore the OEM harness as far as is possible.
  19. No i just want to get those little 2 blocks off of the large fuse block so that I can separate the 2 sections of the wiring harness and get at the underside of the 3rd fuse slot and replace the missing connectors so that the fuse goes back where it belongs. This spliced in inline replacement unit laying around back there looks like some amateur got in there with a monkey wrench. So the question remains... how do I release those first 2 small fuse blocks from the main fuse block.
  20. It is these front 2 fuse holders that I'd like to remove from the fuse block. Any idea how to release them?
  21. I'm needing to repair some wiring on the backside the fuse block. I'd like to at least pull the 2 fwd blocks that are set into the fuse block. Also I'd like to pull some of the actual wire connectors but I cannot figure out how to release these parts. Anyone??
  22. I'd rather sort out a bad transmission than a wiring harness that the PO "fixed" ! Can anyone help me out with this PO mod under the seat. There's a red wire coming from the OEM harness that the PO inline fused to a red/green pair from the OEM harness. This pair is one red with green trace and one red with green trace. Also, there appears to be one open spot in the fuse box. Might these be related?

    V11S Canbus

I'm looking to avoid trouble . Canbus makes me crazy in my 2004 Thunderbird, and I'm not interested in reproducing that trouble on a motorcycle.

    V11S Canbus

I cannot find any reference to this question anywhere here, so simply, do the V11 series utilize a Canbus control system for fueling or any other onboard system?
