I am showing my ignorance here I know but can anyone tell me how are the lines removed from the tank of a Rosso Corse? It mustn't be tooooo hard. Its not obvious to me and I can't see it says 'how to' in the manual.
  4. I have had precious few bikes that make me smile and the Rossa Corsa gives me one from ear to ear...its inspiring, a sensual experince of sound and feel and everything else a REAL motorcycle has... the Dutch magazine writers must simply have been brought up on Japanese 4's . Good no doubt but they lack that smile factor (well, for me anyway).. And as for stopping the V11, I'm just glad I got mine when I did....so was the bank manager cos I put it on my mortgage!! Would i do it again? YOU BET.
  5. So Sean, What do you think of your IT's? I have them on my Rosso Corsa. I have seen and listened to lots of others but seriously think the MG Ti's are tops. At the end of the can on the underside, is an impression that reads 'for racing only'. I have no idea why as they are quieter than some other after market pipes even though they are a straight through pipe. I love 'em. Cheers Trevor
  6. Hi there Sharky. Maybe I am writing a bit late and you have pipes...just to let you know I went for the titanium Moto Guzzi pipes with the ECU...I have even had 2 Ducati riders say it sounds better than a ducati. so, the pipes get my thumbs up, not to loud and just fantastic. Smoother too and makes the bike feel lighter and more responsive. Cheers Trevor
  7. Hi there I didn't even wait for the stock tyres to wear and went straight to the Diablo's. No probs. I felt the original Bridgestones were a bit 'iffy' and considered the Diablos cheap insurance. I stayed with stock sizes. Not much help to you I'm afraid as I am not a full throttle freak (can't afford the fines) but I like the Diablos. Cheers Trevor
  8. I have a Le Mans Rosso Corsa but can't find anyone that sells a maintenance manul/workshop manual. I'm not keen doing experimental maintenance work myself even when out of warranty - very risky!...even if these are 'simple' engines. If anyone can advise me where I can get one, I would be most appreciative. My dealer is oK but I'd like to know the 'how' as well as the 'what' when I put it in for a service. Incidentally I emailed this site about a 'misfire' that was occurring. Several trips back to the dealer didn't really help. It sounded very much like a lean surge but as it turns out the problem recified itself . I can only say that the engine was very tight and has loosened a little. so folks, if anyone else has a new LeMans and is having the trouble ....I'd try to live with it till the 5000klm mark.
  9. Reckon you are correct jim. From what you said it sounds like what you said. I'll take it to the dealer and get em to check it out. Cheers T
  10. Thanks Baldini. I think everything is fine but will check it all on the weekend. PS Like the photo
  11. I've had my Roso Corsa back under warranty and the TB's balanced etc. It still misfires with a loud bang....only occassionally below 3K or under even throttle. So noone is alone, but if someone, anyone, comes up with an answer, please let me know. Other than that....I luuuuuuuuuuvvvve this bike and the gobs of torque it delivers so willingly.
