  2. For a 2002 V11 LeMans. chrisgalardi@yahoo.com Thank you!
  3. Have you had the battery load tested? Same symptoms as the new AGM battery I had in my Jackal. Take the battery to an auto parts or battery store and have it load tested. My brand new AGM battery failed the load test. New battery sent, problem resolved.
  4. Forums are back up, but all data was lost and you need to re-register.... http://www.wildguzzi.com/discussion/
  5. Per Luap from Thursday, 12/30: "Here's whats going on. The discussion board was hacked yesterday and in the process, my whole site was contaminated with a bug. My account is currently suspended until I hear back from my hosts. It should be this afternoon or this evening when I get it all restored. I'll have to upgrade the discussion board to a new version that is not vulnerable to these attacks though." QUOTE today(Sunday 1/2) on Luap's website... "The discussion board was hacked, and all the data was unrecoverable. I am currently in the process of rebuilding the discussion board. Unfortunately, you will have to re-register, as well as reconfigure your personal profiles. Please check back later as I continue to work on this issue....Luap McKeever"
  6. I experienced the same odor on the '03 Stone Metal I had...never did figure out what it was. I wonder if it might be the engine block paint burning off?
  7. Yes, what Steve said...works for me and starts first or second attempt nearly every time.
  8. Hey, maybe this bodes well for me!! NEar 9,000 miles and noi breakage yet! I hope I am one of the lucky ones
  9. So far so good for me on my 2002 LeMans(bought new in 8/2003). Nearing 8000 miles. I do n otice that upshifts into 3rd are often a bit notchy(since new) but sometimes they are smooth as silk. Around the 1000 mile mark the shift lever did not want to release from first gear after a pretty abrupt stop. I had to partially release and then squeeze the clucth lever and the shift lever popped out. Never a problem since then. I hope I got a good one A lot of these failures seem to happen early on in the bike's life and then repeat...any folks with gearbox spring problems which did not occur until later in the bikes life? All this gearbox failuirew chatter just leads me to believe that since the Lemans is my only bike I REALLY need to get a second bike as a backup
  10. Thanks a lot Bill. Seems like this tailbag is quite a nice solution and at a great price!!
  11. Bill, Do you use some sort of protective film or the like on the tail section where the bungee run down to the triangular pieces or is rubbing on the tail section not an issue? chris
  12. Hi Bill, How exactly does this bag mount on the bike? What attachment points do you use? Thanks, Chris
  13. This one mounts right on the passenger part of the seat. Kinda pricey but I have heard nothing but good things about the quality of the product: http://www.luggagelocker.com/product28.html

    MPG?

Took a trip to St. Joe, MO yesterday to visit a new Guzzi dealer there (Jackson motorcycles). Nice tail wind on the way down of probably 15-30 mph. I got ~43 mpg on the way down there, almost all highway/interstate miles. On the way back, riding into that same wind, I got ~33 mpg, again highway and interstate mostly. Amazing what a little wind can do p.s. Jackson motorcycles was great!!! Nice little shop, 10 new Guzzis on the floor with a good selection of the Guzzi line. Lots of accessories, helmets, apparel, etc. well worth a trip if you are in the St. Joe area.
