  1. Truth be known, I am holding a room for our Chief Whip in the event he can be our honored guest at this SSR XX. At some point in the SSR past, another member promised "a handful of Cubanos ." I suppose they could stay in the room and when the innkeeper inquires about the potential improprieties, we can say, "The Dutchman flew! and the Cubanos are nowhere to be found !" Okay, okay - the actual Cubanos:
  2. Also, be aware this vent hose can be abraded by contact with motor parts . . .
  3. In spite of carrying various talisman on my person, and on mySport, at all times, I am not much of a believer in luck. VooDoo, sure, but not "luck" . . . "Synthetic" oil runs the gambit of claims and allowances. Good luck finding out what the actual base oil is on your motor oil of choice. There are but a very few actual Group IV/ Group V base oils. That true, full synthetic motor oils do not suffer the heat-evaporative losses of other oils might suggest a lesser load on our crankcase ventilation and less stress on this failure-prone hose. Of course, very humid environs, storage conditions, and even tuning status (too much fuel load?) all contribute to what this crankcase ventilation hose has to suffer from . . .
  4. Scrub the video to start at 1:34 and listen to 3:06 . . . about a minute and half. You won't be disappointed!
  5. I also wonder about the motor oil in use affecting the longevity. "Mineral" oils have a significant heat-driven evaporative component while true synthetics (Group IV and Group V base oils) do not. I did change my hose while fighting various oil leaks, I saved my take-off as it was not faulty. That was at about 100,000 miles/ 161,000 km.
  6. I have always liked the last gen red LeMans. While actually not "Termignoni pipes", they are nice Titanium canisters. Replacement foot brake lever could mean a wee tip-over in the history . . .
  7. Pretty sure, yes: "All 15M in the USA." Not sure I have ever heard of a "2006" V11. Or even a 2005 in the USA. I was thinking the 2005 Scura R was the last of the breed, but have never heard of one of those in the USA . . .
  8. Ah, yes, the "tip-slosh" replenish. Been there too many times. No way I can go 200 miles. My safe refuel is closer to 160.
  9. Well done, @Cabernet! I am honoured at the "thank you." Pretty sure my thermistor's use-cycles and hours have made it less responsive. It has become less of a "low fuel warning" and more of a laughing crow cawing, "You've Run Out of Fuel, you dolt !"
  10. Just got word of four rooms left at The Lodge . . .
  11. Seems a 1.5º chop on a Centauro frame would make 25º?
  12. Yet, they are actually Russian? Добро пожаловать!
  13. Perhaps @Meinolf could answer the "Status" question regarding guzzidiag . . .
  14. I can only recall one member here using a 150 on the 4.5" rim. Last year I had the unique opportunity to see three early V11 Sport parked next to one another with three different size rear tires: 160, 170, and 180. The angle of the sidewall looked most natural with the 160 while the 180 looked decidedly stressed.
  15. The non-start issue certainly deserves a thread of its own, but regarding guzzidiag, check your model selection in Preferences and select your model. It looks like you may be set the "MDS-01" . . .
  16. What a great mix! Thanks to Leonid Vorobyev and that amazing band! Thanks @po18guy for sharing the link!
  17. The manual will be of no use. Open the January 26, 2017 link below and web search for the suggested relays:
  18. John Prine took us places. Lyrically, melodically, spiced with his storytelling . . . Even without a voice in perfect pitch. A "Bob Dylan", of sorts.
  19. Pretty sure "R.I.C.E" means something else in my line of work..... What is that in electrical troubleshooting?
  20. The horn and tachometer get their power through Relay#2. On the early Sport this relay, in turn, gets the power from the weak contact of Relay#1. If you have not done so already, replace the entire relay set with a "Best" High Current relay from Pickers Components, CIT, (or OMRON if you can find them): Otherwise, check that your battery and charging voltages are adequate...
  21. I'm curious who she sang that duet with, since Prine has passed . . .
