  2. Hello tenni green lovers, after years of trying to get the Tenni Green from BASF or Lechler from the code number online with no luck (yes I had friends in england and italy call the companies directly), I sent a new 2002 Tenni fairing to BASF in the US who sent it to Whitehouse Color Laboratory. After over month they match the color and created a formula and code: Fleet Name: Motoguzzi Motorcycle Fleet Color Name: Moto Guzzi Stock#: 907250 the paint is the GLASURIT- 55 FORMULA I also had them match the gray/black used on the bike. Fleet Name: Motoguzzi Motorcycle Fleet Color Name: Moto Text Flat Black Stock#: 907286 the paint is the GLASURIT- 55 FORMULA Glasurit is BASF's best paint and the price is obscene. a pint of each color cost $152.00us for the pair. BASF's tel: 419 877-5308 US your BASF dealer should be able to order the color with the info above. michael

  5. Hey all, I need a new dampener.. I thinking of a toby or a hyperpro. Any feedback on these. And any sources for getting them discounted would be great. thanks, Michael
  6. hey all i was just down at my mechanic in phili. the only thing he has found wrong with the tenni was the steering damper's rod was bent and the tires (which he has replaced) were hard as rocks. He has found no bearing, brake or any other problems yet. he says the bike rides very smooth and strong. I have personally spoken to the original owner who went down on my tenni (see $4000 tenni posting) and I still believe he hit the rear brake and slid out at low speed. It seems he may have tried to stop using only the rear (in a straight line) from 30 mph. Nice guy but the v11 was not the right bike for him. He had limited riding experience from what I can tell from our conversations. In the big picture, he wasn't hurt when he went down. I looking for a replacement dampener since everyone says the oem sucks and mine is bent. I don't want to spend the $ on an ohlins or scott. I'm thinking of a Toby or a Hyperpro but I have no idea which model or length or mounting setup or where I can get them. I called all the regular suspects with no luck. Anyone out there with specs on the v11 dampeners and dealers? thanks, michael
  7. thanks for the info....the bike is at my mechanic in philidelphia... it was easier to drop it off there on my way back to new york city from maryland. First thing is new tires and a full examination. The bike came with the titanium exhaust and ecu... I'd like to put teo lamers center stand on the bike but moto international in oregon (the usa retailer) does not know if it will work with the crossover or a stucci crossover. Do you have any info on this? I'm a pretty good wrench with tonti frames but the v11 is a new learning curve for me. thanks and happy holidays, michael
  8. the owner's manual is there, but the service manual file link keeps saying "this file is empty" when I open it. Really, it's not there from my end. your link took me to the owner's manual. Michael
  9. The file on the yahoo v11 group for the service manual is empty. the file seems to have been deleted. Does anyone know of another location or link to download one? thanks, michael tenni #120
  10. Here is the true story behind the $4600 Tenni, since I’m the one who's got it now. The original owner (a gentleman in his late 50s) went down at low speed. He says the rear brake locked up on him, but no one can find anything wrong with the brakes. The guy (the September ebay buyer) says when he picked up the bike from the salvage dealer, the bike's original tires were only worn on center 1"and still had mold release on them. I’m guessing, the original owner never felt comfortable on the bike and panicked in a turn and hit the rear brake. Saying the rear brake locked up was a good thing to tell his wife, friends and his ego. His local MG dealer wrote up an estimate saying the bike was beyond repair and claim damage that was not there. This was most likely to help the original owner get back some of his original investment ($14-15,000) and so he could possible get a different bike. The bike had minor damage. A few scrapes and bend fairing bracket, broken directionals and shifter and the exhaust had a dent. Now, the guy I won the bike from is a guzzi head (testaguzzi) and has a few older guzzi and knows how to wrench. He was going to make the bike into a custom naked street bike. When he got the bike from the salvage dealer he was surprised how little damage the bike had and decided to just do the little bit of repairs. And as his ebay ad said, he did a lot of extra work ($) to make it better. (fixed all the broken parts, engine repaint, engine seals, fluids and the dent in the exhaust, etc.) In addition, this bike has many of the factory upgrades like the titanium exhaust system and computer. After putting on 4-500 miles he decided he didn’t like the riding position and chose to resell it after putting time and money into the repairs. Now, I put in a very low bid (4,650) on ebay and never expected to win. But I thought, how could I go wrong at that price if I win? … true or true? … And the bike was already fixed up ready to go and not a project. In NY State, the bike will get re-inspected ($205) and receive a “Rebuilt” vehicle title. Sure it's not as good as a clean title, and maybe the bike is only worth the sum of it’s parts…..but it’s still is a Tenni and it was only $4,600 and about 98% perfect. And who will know looking at the bike now, or will really care in 5 -10 years. If I need to see a perfect Tenni, I’ll go over to my friend loft and look at the one in his living room. But for under $5000 when all things are said and done, I get a very cool rideable modern Guzzi. And it will keep my 1000S from getting lonely during the winter . Michael NYC
