  1. Another one... Nuerburgring Nordschleife last year
  2. They are very good looking indeed, but, imho they do not fit with the rest of the bike... like putting a weightlifter on a pair of Pradas
  3. A few recent pictures: last September on the Nordschleife (Nuerburgring)... jolly good fun!
  4. I am 187.5 cm and I have more legroom on my Le Mans than on my 07 K1200GT. Like Mark said, the trick is to sit back on the seat. Hope you can have an extensive test ride.
  5. DAES Mototec in Germany has some goodies for the 8V intended to increase low and midrange torque, including PC: http://contentmanager.brainst.com/8118/pro...e.php3?seite=11 . See www.daes-mototec.de I would consider low and midrange torque more useful than top range power for normal road use.
  6. Hi there, Magni have a half-fairing for the V11: http://www.magni.it/v11_fairing.htm Good luck with your V11 Renaud
  7. A bit too flashy for my taste... I prefer the X-lite 801RR, even if it is not produced anymore.
  8. I do like the exhausts ! Any chance of the production of a (limited) series? This being said, I do realise that meeting European noise restrictions may be problematic
  9. The program was last night on BBC2 TV, right before Top Gear. I loved it, even though it made me wonder why instead of moving to Italy, where "amore" rhymes with "motore", I have to live in the cold and car-unfriendly Netherlands . PS: I think that the program also serves as a good reminder of the fact that old cars are first and foremost OLD and therefore require a lot of love, care, and last but not least, buckets of money if you want to keep them running (almost like our Guzzis... )
  10. It may well be that your V11 and your Stelvio are too similar? After my partner decided after a 150 km day trip that she would never again join me on the Rosso Corsa (I still do not understand why ), we bought a 07 BMW K1200GT to keep her (actually both of us ) happy. I was considering selling my Rosso Corsa, but at the end I decided not to, because 1) I just love this bike and I knew I would miss her; 2) second hand prices for a V11 (at least in Belgium) are simply a joke. Well, almost two years later, I can state without exaggerating that keeping the Rosso was one of the best (motorcycle-related) decisions I ever took!! The K1200GT is an impressive bike in all regards, and when it comes to long distance riding with a passenger, very close to perfection (at least imho). Still, it is always a pleasure to take out the "little" Rosso for a (solo) day trip to the Ardennes or the Eifel, because well, it is so far away from perfection (and of course because of everything else we like so much about the V11). Objectively speaking, the four cylinder 152 HP Teutonic lady simply blows away the V2 90 HP Bella Rossa, but, when changing from one to the other, I always enjoy the difference between these two bikes. So, what I am trying to say is that, in my view it makes it easier to keep (and ride) two (or more motorcycles) if they are very different from each other. If they are very similar, or even worse, one is the improved version of the other, it is probably not so easy to convince yourself that it makes sense to keep both of them, but, again, that is a very personal opinion.
  11. de gustibus et coloribus non est disputandum , but, in cases like this one, it would be good if some restrictions could be imposed on "imagination" or "creativity" .

    Agostini Helmet

Until the beginning of 2008, X-lite produced the X801RR in Agostini-look (I am the very happy owner of one of the last ones ). X-lite has also other replica versions available: http://www.x-lite.it/catalogo_09.jsp?iditem=105 Ago has changed helmet brand this year and now it is AGV that produces the Agostini replica: the AGV Ti-Tech Evolution in Agostini-look http://www.agv.it/prodotto.asp?Id_Prodotto...otoGrafica=624). Personnally, I prefer the X-lite version (it looks more discrete )
  14. This may well have been suggested already, but I am very happy with the Becker technik central stand (http://www.becker-technik.de/ : check for "central lifter").
  15. The valve covers, people, the valve covers! They are not standard V11, but appear to be borrowed from the Breva?
  16. I am not a marketing expert, but in my view, Moto Guzzi should make a better use of its rich "pédigré". As has been suggested many times here, why not expand on the V7 theme and introduce more classic sports bikes (e.g. a V12 Classic Sports with spoke wheels; Le Mans I lfairing; etc). This cannot be too complicated. It would also distinguish Guzzi as a brand in the Paggio concern. The Stelvio and the Griso are surely good moves. I am not so sure about the 1200 "Sport" though (with or without eight valves).
  17. These pictures were taken during the Motorrad Action Team Training on the Nordschleife (Nuerburgring) on 26 August 2008. Two days of pure fun

    Daes Mototec

I have been using the Becker Technik central stand for years on my Rosso and I am very happy with it. You just have to be careful when you mount fix it on the bike (= avoid making scratches on the frame side plates). It was a pleasure to do business with them, also a couple of months ago when I bought a front stand for my K1200GT. I agree with Paul about Daes Mototec; I tried several times to buy Bos mufflers at their shop, but I gave up after a couple of months. But, if you can be patient, they reportedly do provide high quality work.
  19. Salve! ... and there is also a Rosso Corsa in nearby Flanders.... Too many Rosso Corsas
  20. This has already been addressed in the forum. The factory, the museum and Agostini are all closed (chiuso ) in August (Agostini opens again on the 26th). August is the holiday month in Italy... So, September is indeed the better choice.
  21. As Paul already pointed out: the factory and museum are closed in August (August THE holiday month in Italy). So, save yourself the trip and try to go at another time.
  22. Hi there, It seems to be normal that the front cross over pipe (i.e. the tube in front of the engine; I am not talking about the rear cross over in front of the mufflers) is kind of loose. On my '03 Rosso Corsa I can easily turn it back and forth over half a cm. My dealer tells me that I should not worry; according to him, trying to fasten the front cross over will put the entire exhaust system under strain with the well-known consequences.
  23. Nice bike indeed! And, a beautiful setting too. PS: I would also like to know the brand and type of the seat. Thanks!
