  1. I really have a jones on for one. What are the chances one is around for sale? Any GB dealers in the northeastern US?
  2. Thanks, we're back on track. That was the first cameltoe thread hijack I've ever seen.
  3. That last camel toe is, umm, somewhat disturbing. The one prior looks quite tastey.
  4. 2000 V11 green/red frame for sale in central Connecticut. The sweetest looking V11 IMO! Nearly perfect condition, 18k miles. Teckno bags, matching Stucci windscreen, new Metzler Z6 tires, PCIII, CRG bar end mirrors, verlicchi (sp?) clip ons, Pork chops have not discolored. Just a gorgeous, sweet-running first year V11 Sport. $4500 firm. PM if interested.
  5. Recently picked up a pristine 1996 1100 Sport, and I really love it. Thinking of selling my equally pristine 2000 V11 Sport (green/red frame) in favor of keeping just the 1100 Sport (well, not true, I also have an EV...). Your thoughts? Keep both? If I do sell it, it's in Connecticut and it truly is beautiful and runs about flawlessly (occasional FI miss). Rich Maund seat, matching Stucchi chin fairing, PCIII, CRG hind Sight mirrors, other than that it is bone stock and the porkchops never pinked down. If anyone is interested speak up. I am interested though in the what you think of keeping the 96 and selling the 2000. I don't know, the '96 is a bit more of a chore to ride but what an awesome machine! Thanks all!
  6. Thanks Ratchet, I tell ya I'm no mechanic but I've never seen machines with so many frozen, cheesy fasteners. I love the Guzzis but it does get frustrating. I just took the centerstand off my EV; what should have been a 5 minute job became a 30 minute wrestlemania swearfest because one of the nuts was frozen solid to the pivot bolt. Friggin A, I finally got it off but it was almost a Herculean effort. I do think it's worth the effort to go through as much of the bike as possible and remove and re-torque as many fasteners as you can reasonably access, and use a bit of anti-sieze paste with each.
  7. Todd at MPH came thru with flying colors on the oil cooler brackets - GREAT customer service from those folks. But on a sour note, I bodged one of those cheesey hex screws that attaches the cooler to the bracket - the side with the rubber grommet/washer piece - I believe I had the correct size hex key too - but one pretty easy attempt at a turn chewed up the screw pretty well! Appears to be very soft metal. What is the easiest way to deal with that? I'm not going to try to turn it any further. I'll have to order new fasteners for sure. Bodge!!!!!!!
  8. True! they suck! I checked Harper's and they are $50... stainless. I think i'll call tomorrow. Thanks all!
  9. I also went to the 160 rear in a Metzler M6 and the bike handles MUCH better... I love the M6 and the 160 on my 2000 V11 was the right move. Thanks to many on this forum for the heads-up on that.
  10. Yes Paul mine are on the 2000 V11 the tennis ball green one - the best of al the V11s!
  11. Well, those crappy pot metal brackets holding my oil cooler in place have finally snapped on me - does anyone know a source for better quality items? Thanks all...
  12. > This all makes my head hurt. I leave to the pros everything but fluids and a few minor bits. I just love to ride the fukkin' things.
  13. Curious - I like to change my oil last thing before storing my bike for the winter, but a mate of mine suggests that oil should be changed first thing in the spring, and there is no harm leaving rather dirty (2500 miles?) oil in the sump all winter. I would think that could be corrosive. What say you? Thanks folks.
  14. I need new skins on my 2000 V11 Sport. If I go with 160/60 on the rear, should the front remain the factory specifed size? So only the rear changes to a narrower width? I'm thinking of Dunlop D220s - there is so much discussion of tires on this site it's hard to get a feel for which is preferred - but for those who have run 220's, how do you like them? for wear and traction? Thanks!
  15. this is the classic V11 for all time... Mine. my v11
