  1. For that amount of money you can expect quality. I don' t think BMW is able to do so. In 2000 a friend of mine bought a R1150 GS 8 one or two years old ) . In 2005 he got some problems with gaskets at the brakes. A problem BMW knows for a long time, but did not make it public. Repairing this would have been very expensive (kind of 400 €) and BMW showed no goodwill to pay part of the repair. . So my friend decided to let it repair at a non bmw garage. Another decision was never to buy again a BMW . Even some mechanics I know say that what BMW provides is not worth that amount of money you pay . Sometimes it is not easy to understand why they win a lot of comparative test in the german motorcycle magazin. Even deficiencies with the ABS . Paul You are so right . They are not abe to build nice motorcycles . Earlier in last century they built nice motorcycles (e.g. ( R90 /S) . Klaus
  2. Hi Joe, i found a thread concerning the colours in the german V11 Forum. They call the green colour "lemon green". And it is made of several coatings or layers ( I do not know the right translation, hope you know what i mean) . Most of the guys who tried to find the right colour code gave up and looked for a (varnisher / painter) who could solve that problem. One of them found the lemon green colour, that PPG has in its program. There it is called "Verde Nacre". Maybe it is helpful for you. If you can speak a bit german maybe this link where the thread was posted is helpful Colour Code lemon green . They are of the opinion that every good (varnisher / painter) is able to mix the right colour. Klaus
  3. Fine I just booked a bed for those two days.
  4. The 16th/17th/18th May is OK for me. The other reason to start that meeting at that point of time is Jaap's birthday, isn't it ?
  5. Hi Søren, I think it is less than 650 km (Sibbe - Kopenhagen) . So it will not be that bad for your arse. I'm in, too! Klaus
  6. Hello guys. I just came back from my holiday tour through the south of France to the french Ardennen. My holidays coud not have a better start than with this great meeting of some international V11 drivers. It was nice and exclusive meeting. Thanks Jaap and Antonio for selecting this nice place and organizing this. Thanks to Paul and family who did everything to make everyone feel comfortable there. Nice guys. Unfortunately I had to hurry to Münster, otherwise I would have done part of my holidays with Bertie in France . I had a lot of fun there and could even brush up my English and Dutch. Hier noch einmal auf Deutsch: Das war ein echt geiles Wochenende . In het Nederlands: Hartstikke leuk . (Zeg je dat zo in het Nederlands?) Jaap, if you you are going to plan for next year, you can already put me on the list. Klaus
  7. Hi people . Since November last year i am a proud owner of a V11 LeMans . http://img474.imageshack.us/my.php?image=0000016bu0.jpg It was the right decision to buy this bike. I never had more fun with a bike than riding the V11. Hope to meet some of you guys in Valkenburg in September. Klaus
