  1. I always dismount the side stand from bike while going on circuit... In max lean the upswept exhausts were being dragged on the tarmac... do not lean further under no circumstances!
  2. sorry to hear about this... come to ride in CZ, cops has just a few of FJR1300 which are pretty dull and only a dozen of FZ6. Easy to ride fast in CZ
  3. Hello Jason, You might wanna check out Reboot Guzzi parts in France. They have a Sport 1100 right now up for parts. The owner is English so that won't be a problem in the language area. Here's the link for the Sport 1100 parts. He still has the steering damper and it's just 42 pounds. Good Luck with it! Mjingen I can recommend these guys - Trible
  4. =moto-guzzi&s[model]=moto-guzzi-v11&lat=49.56158828735352&lng=14.23253726959229"]4 V11 for sale in CZ
  5. Is that a straight cut or helie box you show there? Hi! The gears are from the straight cut gbox. The one shown mounted is gbox from Centauro. Slavek
  6. Hi, looking for wire harness from Sport 1100 carb version. thanks Slavek
  7. I think it is the cost-reduction. Parts same as on aprilias and etc (those with two wires on gas command) Also, later models of V11 has two wires instead of one. If it was twin cable throttle assy then the other cable position would be on the opposite side. Ciao maybe, maybe not
  8. You're welcome! So you have single wire trottle butterfly V11? I guess... Quick trottle on big Vtwin can be quite tricky, and seems to me bit useless for road use... edit: I found very very cheap quick trottle from Acossatto... for GP125ccm bike. Worth a try. Well... the whole travel of gas on Sport 1100 reducted to 1/4 turn of wrist with the quick gas. So I sold it.

  10. Sorry, I am bit frustrated from the wiring hareness let's switch back to wirings
  11. they were not , it is 1995yr bike with number of owners - only fool would suggest pristine condition. Have you seen the bike? Frame? Engine? I assume that not. No reason for these twisted judgements. /with respect of course.
  12. Hi All, I will use this already existing thread. I have a problem with harness on my carb 1100 sport. Mostly thanks to previous owner who cutted wires here and there for unknown reason. I have to do few mods - electrics fuel petcocks - replaced by manual ones no blinkers = no blinker wiring and relays (this should not impact rest of wiring) AND some of previous owners changed key ignition... all wires heading from key switch has the same color and leads to cracked connector = I can not tell which goes where. From wiring scheme - there should be white; white/red; black; green/black; red wires heading to key switch. I have only 4 wires - white; white/red; green/black; green. No red one AND in the ECU - there is one thick flat connector which splits in two thick wiring routes and! one single cable with brown fast-on connector - what should go here? This is supposed to be track bike - so there won't be any charging, no lights etc. All I need to run is the ignition and oil pressure warning. Thanks for any hints and tips from older and much more experienced riders
  13. believe me that you would like to ride it more than hour
  14. stunning bike... except those piggy handlebars. However, what I likes most is the jet fighter like sound in the end
  15. Hi, You have the carbs, right? Now you have to find if you have straight or helical gears. Helical gears are on later models of carb Sport, and on all Sport IE and so on. The straight teeth are prone to be made out of finest italian parmesane and noisy gears indicates there is something bad about to happen FYI - these are my gears taken out from Carb Sport with 70000km on the clock (I think that number should be multiplied by two). All gears showing signs of pitting. Getting new gears costs a fortune and is nearly impossible. So what you have to do is to find healthy Gbox from Sport IE, Centauro, Daytona... It will fit with no problems and the differences in gear ratios are not tragic. Used Gboxes can be found at price of 400€ or so. Send message to Pete from Reboot Spares and to Gutsibits. I had many replies also from DE forum www.V11sport.de Good luck!
