  1. My priorities have changed and I’ve decided to sell my 2004 Moto Guzzi V11 Café Sport. If you are reading this you likely know all about this bike, a very limited edition V11. Sometimes I just stare at it but I never seem to actually ride it. Runs and rides great. Great shape, never down. Always garaged. Ohlins fork, shock and steering damper. Carbon fiber fender, side covers and starter cover. Completely stock except for seat upgrade. All precious bodily fluids just changed including fork seals. New brake pads. Throttle bodies just balanced. New Odyssey battery. Have owner’s manual and copies of shop manual and parts listing. One item of note: The odometer shows 2213 miles but was replaced at 12130 miles by the previous owner(have receipt) so the bike has 14343 miles on it now. $6800 USD takes her home.

  3. There are several detailed topics on TPS adjustments. My question though is, "Do I need an adjustment? Am I out of spec?" (My wife says yes to both.) I have a bone stock '04 Cafe Sport with 15K miles and I have no idea if this has been done before as I'm not the original owner. I have no interest in tweaking things, experimenting or changing out to another ECU. This one has a step-by-step to set it up correctly: http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=12204 . I'm not feeling adventurous on this so if I need it will go to the dealer for the work. So, before I go spend too much good money I want to be sure this will help. Help what I'm not sure. Thanks.
  4. I bought this tank as a spare and then realized I bought the wrong one. This is the older model for the bikes with the external fuel pump. The tank is in great condition. Does not come with the gas cap, tank pad, etc. There is a small wear mark that you can barely see in the picture to the lower left of the gas cap. There is also a very small mark on the lower edge on the left side. I can email you the higher res version of the pictures. Asking $180 plus UPS shipping from Atlanta to you. Lower 48 only.
  5. I'm sure there is very simple answer here and I'll feel like an idiot shortly. However, my passenger footpegs have been in the upright and locked position since I purchased the bike. I can't seem to figure out how to drop them into the usable position. The owner's manual is of no help. For the time being this serves as a great excuse why I can't take my girlfriend out riding but I'm sounding very lame lately.
  6. Bill - thanks for the information. Dealers seem to change with the tides. I live 3 miles from the dealer in Roswell so that is convenient to me. I have not had my bike in to any dealer yet. I just bought it in February. Second Wednesday...that would be this week. I'll try and get down there. It's a bit of a ride for me on a wednesday night. My girlfriend refers to the Thursday bike night at the Vortex as 'Stupid Jacket Night.'
  7. While looking for a scooter for my son to get to school on I stumbled into Scooter Superstore in Atlanta. They sell Piaggio, Aprillia and Vespa scooters as well as Moto Guzzi's. They had two Grisos, one Norge, one 1200 Sport and a couple of Breva's. They said they had a mechanic with 30 yrs of Guzzi experience. Has anyone had any experience with service at this shop?
  8. Thanks for the input. Good point on drying out of the suction cups. I'm going to order the T-bag and let you know how it goes. I have a 2004 so the rubber pad on the tank is not an issue for me. The t-bag is smaller than the Givi and I figure the less flopping around in the wind the better.
  9. I'm in the market for a tank bag and have not been happy with the strap mounts I've seen nor the gas cap mounts. I don't like the semi-permanent mounting hardware. They were all also bigger than I really want. I just need a small bag to carry a few items like my wallet, phone, cigars, sun glasses, etc. I once actually zipped two t-bone steaks in my jacket on the last mile of a ride so I didn't have to go out to the grocery store after I got home. Kind of a strange feeling...hard to describe. Anyway, I came across two different bags that mount with suction cups, a Givi and a T-bag. http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade/productview/1885/ http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/search/searc...&store=Main Any experience with these bags or any other suction cup mount bags?
  10. The shift lever on my '04 cafe sport sometimes gets stuck in the down position when downshifting to a stop. I just lever it back up with my foot to get it unstuck. I saw a post that addressed this: http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=11460 Someone had what looks like the answer, "Turned out to be a complete lack of lube on on the bolt that runs through the shift lever. Ordering a new tub of grease seemed to be forgotten on the ass.line. Pulled the bolt, quick clean and some grease solved the problem. I later added a zerk to allow for non-disassembly lubing. " Being someone who knows enough to cause damage but also not wanting to take the bike to the dealer can someone explain this procedure in more detail? Is this something I can do without cracking the gearbox open? Thanks.
