  1. got a discount at the Sammy Miller Museum when we said we were at the V Twin rally. this was a couple of years ago but would be worth asking
  2. Been running PR4 GTs on my Mandello for a few thousand miles now and find them very good in both the rain and dry.
  3. think this might be the right screen for your Mandello http://www.tlm.nl/webshop/en/screen-cal-titanium-v11-015772420000-moto-guzzi

  5. what you need is this type of system have a look at the company http://www.kliktronic.co.uk/ it may not be in your country? but it will give you an idea of what can be done to help you.
  6. Told him about the Scottish Rally but unfortunately he had just got tickets for another rally on the same weekend.
  7. A friend of mine is now the proud owner of Berties V11. He had been looking at Grisos but could not find any a reasonable price, so when I saw Berties ad in the for sale section I let him know. Went round to see him and the bike today.
  8. Another question, i've found the AF1 Racing site and just need to know if you fitted the AF1 Handguard Kit for Tuono (AF1-HG-Kit) or the OEM Aprilia Shiver / Dorsoduro Handguard Kit. cheers
  9. do you happen to have the parts numbers for the handguards, also is AF1 a US shop or an add on part number for the guards. I'm in the UK, so could go to a local dealer to get them if I am able to get the dogbone thing over here as well. Cheers.
  10. Got a set from J and S called Dr Bike I think they were about £26 at the time ( a couple of years ago ) they are based on the old style Oxford grips which have a large turning control knob instead of the push buttons they have now. Can't recommend them highly enough, very warm on the max of the 4 heat setting so much so that I have to turn them down unless it's a very very cold day. These are them although they have gone up in price now http://www.jsaccessories.co.uk/doctor-bike-dr695-heated-grips.html They also do these at £24.99 which seem to have a controller very like the R and G ones http://www.jsaccessories.co.uk/dr-bike-drmhgc001-drmhg-heated-grips.html
  11. Hi guys thanks for all the replies will be looking at the bike this weekend my o2 internet connection seems to be made by Piagio as its stopped working as well!!! This is being sent from my mobile, so hopefully internet connection for the weekend!
  12. I feel your pain Dave, my V11 is doing the same thing at the moment.
  13. Went to start the V11 last week, fuel pump primed but no go. Thinking it may not have enough battery juice(bike not been used since May) put it on charge. Tried to start it today and no go. Pump prims, relays click but does not turn over. The relays are all new. This happened a while ago and the RAC man showed me how to put a wire from the live battery terminal to the starter motor terminal? once its wire was disconnected. Tried this and low and behold it started. Switched it off reconnected the starter motor live wire and nothing . Also rev counter not working. Help please, What should i be checking.
  14. As PeteTW said "fit is king". Go to a shop that knows how to fit and measure your head and has a good choice in both sizes and makes. What fits best will be the best for you. I'm on my 3rd Arai, a Chaser. For me it is all day comfortable. May be a little noisy but I always wear ear plugs anyway. Arai do a couple of different shell shapes. The new Chaser 2, Viper GT are fine on my head but the top of the range ones are the wrong shape for my head. Shoei always make my cheeks feel like they're being squeezed together and the front of the helmet is to close to my chin. Shark helmets squash my ears. So it's Arai for me but that does not mean it's for you. A helmet that fits your head will protect it better than one that does'nt it also makes you enjoy riding by not being a pain in the head.
  15. Got Bridgestone BT023s and am very happy with them. Lots of wet grip and even more in the dry
  16. Watched the film last night and it's a cracker. The 3D gives the film fantastic visual depth. Lots of Guy Martin in it, and a good quote from him about Barry Sheen not doing the TT. If it's showing near to you then get along to see it.
  17. Got Bridgestone BT 023s fitted and they grip really well rain or shine , had Road Attacks fitted before them and they lasted about 7k.
  18. my first bike as well Get it bought and join the wonderful world of Guzzi. It's a great looking bike and the champagne colour very classy.
  19. The pic is taken from MCN last year. Features the Norton, Hyde Harrier, Ace Thruxton and Royal Enfield. Sound on the clip comes on at around the 14 second mark. ">http://link.brightcove.com/services/player/bcpid1119137831?bctid=260714322001
  20. I use a Micron paddock stand to lift the rear wheel off the ground. All I had to do to make it fit was to pull the uprights a bit further appart. If you want to to take the shock and swing arm out then you may want to look at something like this which you could use on the bar inbetween the pork chops.
  21. Off to the Milan show on Friday and back on Sunday so hopefully will have some pics of the 'nice models' as long as Louise is looking the other way If not i'll just have to take pics of the bikes.
  22. Have a look at Guzziriders post as he's selling a rack http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=16193&pid=174308&st=0&&do=findComment&comment=174308
