  1. yep, pawl spring. easy fix for curtis at eurogeek here in flagstaff. thank you all for your guidance.
  2. thank you all for your quick and helpful replies. we shall investigate, and i shall report back on our findings. cheers.
  3. hello all - i have a 2004 ballabio that has been trouble-free since i purchased it used in 2009. coming up on 22k, it's been sitting a lot recently but performing just fine when i take it out, until yesterday... started fine, pulled away fine and then simply would not get out of 1st gear, either running & moving, standing still or with the engine off. last time i rode it (2 weeks ago?) it shifted without incident and nothing happened in the meantime other than it sitting in the corner of the garage. i rode it, in first, at 20mph, across town to my local garage (eurogeek in flagstaff, az) where the my mechanista also could not find anything obviously wrong; we looked at the owner's manual PDF together and he's planning on opening up the transmission to see what's what, but i thought i'd post here to see if anyone has any guidance that might save us a lot of time. any tips, suggestions, warnings or prayers welcome. thank you.
  4. $200 shipped to lower 48 gently broken in/excellent condition; heavy but supple leather - size 42 - removeable liner - vents front and back - wallet pocket on inside - change pocket on front sleeve - all zippers/buttons work - armor/padding in shoulders and elbows (could be upgraded to heavier duty CE armor) pics: front - http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/--sGPNmC27BWop1t2wjW_Ohnm5eScCgju54DSGbyZR4?feat=directlink back - http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/RXI1aruzQJbsDzW88e_YIuhnm5eScCgju54DSGbyZR4?feat=directlink label - http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/sc4pS9rcEVU3xlfW5Sndgehnm5eScCgju54DSGbyZR4?feat=directlink shoulder - http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/tw9t6PstZNaC0nzl5A_6Pehnm5eScCgju54DSGbyZR4?feat=directlink very nice jacket, vintage cut, but too small for me. feel free to PM me with any questions
  5. i have no idea what you are talking about. i will say, tho, that my over the winter mods deserve a longer road-tested review... 1. rich maund seat: major improvement over stock 2. motratech peg lowering kit: very significant to my 6'3" frame and long legs 3. stock peg hangers for my titanium cans: more clearance for my soft bags and frankly, a cleaner line. i truly wonder what the point of the shorter hangers is
  6. here is my ride report posted on advrider... http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=569797 good times, some nice roads and good fish tacos in tucson
  7. http://www.motratech.com/Motratech/MGPG10.html if so, i would be interested in your feedback as i'm thinking of adding it for peace of mind purposes. thx.
  8. got 'em from woody. thanks.
  9. i've got a 2004 ballabio for which i would like to lower the guzzi titanium cans to make more a little more room for my soft bags (which currently sit on the cans) and for a more comfortable leg/foot position for my occasional pillion rider. here's a pic that shows my current configuration: let me know if you have the set in question, either via PM or email me at dwidmark at gmail dot com. thanks

  13. thx for the words to the wise, amigo. they shall be heeded. and i'll post a ride report upon my return.
