  2. Several years ago, the new to me Café Sport would head shake above 80. Turn in was truckish. Michelin tires were the culprit. Roadsmarts cured the shake but the rear would step out then grip. Wear was horrid. Avon Storm tires work best with the stock 180 rear. Not as flickable as the Benelli but super stable and responsive. Long lasting with a heavy happy handle. GoStar racing has an excellent suspension set up tutorial. HB Junior bags and rack. 36 and 42 psi.
  3. Hi Pete. I found some fittings on the AF1 site. They are listed for the Camponard, Tuono and others. Still not shure how they would seal up with the bottom plate on the pump module. Anywho, if you find the numbers, let me know and also a Roper plate for the Sport and V11 if available, please. Joe
  4. Thanks for the info, Pete. Leaving now for another bike instruction session but will take a pic later this afternoon. Do you have a source or IPB of the Aprilia parts? Joe
  5. The V11 Cafe Sport is down with a broken fuel fitting. 13 years of ethanol? So the 95 Sport has a new clutch and is being prepped for re-release. It will be interesting to feel the differences after 4 years on the Cafe.
  6. I have been using the Shorai for several days now and I am pleased. No cold weather shenanigans this AM either. 57F, kill switch on, key on and start. Instantaneous start and idle. The Ballistic could barely do that at 70F.
  7. This topic is also on the wildgoose chase site. I had bad experiences with Ballistic in the Benelli- A123 cells. I have ordered a Shorai LFX18 for the Café Sport- it uses "prismatic" cell construction although cold weather start procedures seem to be the common difficulty for all. Check the exact construction nomenclature, Li ion is not Li Iron. Li Ion overheat and tend to emit flames.
  8. My V11 with Stucchi Xover and MIVV cans on youtube. 89milleGT channel.
  9. Sorry, my profile did not update. 74 Commando, 89 Mille GT, 95 Sport 1100, 07 Benelli Café Racer 1130, 04 Café Sport.
  10. Roadsmarts were fitted when I bought the Café Sport. The rear was not as planted as I like, especially in quick transitions side to side. The front was average, handling wise. A set of Michelin Pilot road 2 came with the purchase so those went on. OK for 8000 miles then greasy, especially when cold. Also needed constant pressure on the grip to keep a line in the corners. Avon Storm 2 Ultra has been my choice on the Sport 1100 and Benelli 1130 so went the Café. Best tire I've ever used. The Benelli went through 2 Q2s in less than 8000 miles but now gets 8k on one Avon rear. (Over 90 ft lb and 135 hp at the wheel. 9000 rpm) Keep the pressure up for long life.
  11. Marzocchi forks should be 36 mm above the top yoke. Do not include the height of the damper adjuster. Michelin PRs in 120/70 and 180/55 were stable but not very quick to turn. Avon Storm 2 ultra in the same sizes are a huge improvement.
  12. Guzzidiag, a cable from Lonetec(sp?), and the Euro map. I'm using the Guzzi Titanium map.Grunty, smooth and strong all the way to redline. Stucchi crossover and MIVV cans. Balance the TB's, set the TPS. Mine likes the Idle Fuel Trim set at +20. Set valves to the World specs. A couple of hours work. No stink.
  13. Yeah, it's me. I may have a V 11 one day to keep the GT and Sport 1100 company.
