It's been quite a while since we've read someone had this problem, but every '01 and '02 V11 with white Veglia clocks has or had it.
I drilled a small 5 mm (0.19685") in the bottom of the plastic clock housing (not in the clock itself! ) and the problem was gone.

As far as my knowledge on the subject goes it's a piece of rubber in the wheel hub that absorbs abrupt forces from the drive shaft/gearbox to the wheel and vice versa.
I also had it in my 50 cc Kreidler moped!

Although I wasn't asked:
On the german V11 Forum everybody is convinced a 4,5" rim should have a160 tyre and a 5,5" rim a 170 tyre. A lot of the german V11 riders have turned to these smaller tyres and are very happy campers.
I think the wave rotors ar just a fashion accessory for posers. The factory has come up with all sorts of technical advanced stuff (i.e. marketing) to give the posers an excuse to justify their purchase to their wives. And they are ugly too.
I'll bet you that in a year or so nobody wants them anymore, because square brake discs are the latest craze...
