  2. So I suppose your tent and sleeping bag hangs under the back above the wheel on this one.
  3. I think I was recruited last night by the Hobbit aka Harry. Having a few cans of Guiness tonight, watching the footie, in preparation.
  4. do you happen to have the parts numbers for the handguards, also is AF1 a US shop or and add on part number for the guards. I'm in the UK, so could go to a local dealer to get them if I am able to get the dogbone thing over here as well. Cheers. Hopefully we will see your handywork at the Scottish Rally. Take notes for the questioning
  5. The only time I use the horn is to test before annual MOT - and every year I have to replace them. Always been the horns themselves. They don't seem to last long.
  6. Agree with Mad and HaydnR. Shouldn't be a choice between the MGCGB or this Forum - both deserve full support. Guzziland ain't big enough to be too fractional. We are lucky to have such quality resources.
  7. It's only oil! An oven pan is fine, and wipe up with a tissue. It's the only time that part O my bike gets a wipe....
  8. Polish Poisoning. Most people just do the outside............
  9. Until the revolution and the workers take over, it is our duty to prop up Euroland. As Greece has nothing worth buying (apart from Ouzo) I felt obliged to spend lots of money in Berlisconi Land. He seems to have retired on his percentage..................
  10. Very shiny and red - the best colour . The only thing you probably can't do yourself is setting up the fuel injection - Mel Robinson in Glasgow is renowned for his skill with guzzi electronics. If you go to a Guzzi club Scottish branch camping weekend you'll probably see a Ballabio, Cafe Sport and two Rosso Corsa's. First thing you'll do is find somewhere in the garage for those standard cans...................
  11. Well I am quietly confident, that after I finish the first bottle, while I am driving through the land of onions, berets and stripey T shirts, I can pick up a bottle of the anisede juice to keep me going. And you can look forward to all Harry's stories. We can bore you at the Kinlochleven weekend with a mile by mile detailed account...................
  12. At least 2 V11's from Ecosse - self and Harry. Look out for his special V11 numberplate on his Rosso Corsa
  13. Hi Gary. Being someone who likes to prod bottles of oil in a shop (rather than buy mail order), the only one I can find round here is Motorex 10/60. Seems to tick all the boxes, and SG rated, and I see people mentioning it every now and then on the hundreds, no thousands of guzzi oil threads. My local KTM dealer stocks it, along with their gearbox oil. So if your changing your oil for a big trip, maybe your coming to Mandello??

    Saying Hi

Low mileage V11 eh ? Coming quite close to the top ten laws of V11 ownership is that speedos are made of toffee and don't last much more than 10k miles. So which clock is it now on? Doesn't really matter anyway as it's a real bike. When the penny drops, there's nothing much out their that compares.
  15. I spend days swearing at the 'quick release' fittings, reading lots of 'how to' postings, and was getting knowwhere until I read a bit about depressurising the line. With my V11, it won't come off without doing this. Shame I didn't see this post 3 years ago.............
