  2. Hey Kiwi_Roy, could you post a pic of the finished product you come up with for the ride to John Day, thanks!
  3. The post above by k99 for the cafe sport seems like a good deal to me, I wonder why it hasn't sold. http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/mcy/5336790803.html
  4. Motorcyclist rights and lobbying are worth supporting with membership dues. Signing petitions electronically is an AMA service I like, the most recent being the E-85 effort to oppose the spread of higher-ethanol blended fuels across the country.
  5. I've been using Star-Tron Enzyme Fuel Treatment. Their claim is the concentrated product cures ethanol problem, stabilizes gasoline for up to two years, cleans valves and injectors, helps remove water, rejuvenates old fuel, and a list of other good things, but NOT an octane booster. My CafeSport has not suffered from tank swell syndrome as far as I can tell. I don't know for sure if the Star-Tron is doing anything helpful, but it doesn't seem to hurt anything, it's not expensive, and readily available at Wal-Mart.
  6. What about the MotraTech Foot Position Relocation Kit? Is this a good option? I see one for sale in the classified section on this forum.
  7. My 2004 Cafe Sport USA model is not equipped with an 02 sensor like the Euro spec bikes. It runs great, no flat spots and no poping on deceleration. I suppose I should be thankful for that, right?
  8. I sent you an email twice, both rejected "mailer daemon". I am trying to respond to you regarding you V11 wanted posting.

  9. [quokte]Oval Mistrals and they sound bloody awesome. And they are very good looking. I chose these since they went on a 2004 Cafe Sport that has carbon fiber bits and the Mistral carbon fiber cans complement the look. Expensive but the U.S. dollar to euro exchange rate is a little better lately.
  10. The next Duc will have Christmas lights around the headlights like an Audi, eh?
  11. Time to move on and ride something else for awhile. Just know that you will probably be back riding a Moto Guzzi someday, the urge never really goes away.
  12. Found this on SF Craigslist today. $4500 for 2004 Cafe Sport, 29,000 miles. Not a bad price IMO. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/mcy/2672066842.html
  13. Today a Harley rider asked me "what year is that". I said 2004. He said "when did they start making them again? I replied "they never quit making them". End of conversation!
  14. 2004 model first sold in 2006 in California ~ I'm the third owner ~ ZGUKTC0224M111244
  15. Congratulations! Had that bike on my eBay watch list, I wondered how high the bids would go. On July 1st I purchased a 2004 Cafe Sport on eBay.
  16. So sad about the tragic violence in your part of the world. Our thoughts are with you.
