  2. A friend of mine owns a Street triple and i've ridden it a few times but it doesn't suit me. The torque is almost everywhere in the rev-range but it's whining like crazy and to nervous to ride (for me). The same goes for the Tiger 800 only more whining. But that motorcycle is really awesome. It doesn't matter if you drive 50km/h or 150km/h, it vibrates the same and it keeps on going. But, i'm no three- of four-cylinder guy. I'm an two- an one-cylinder one. For me, nothing beats the vibration and sound of a Guzzi. Not even a BMW boxer or the straight two-cylinder like the F800 range. They don't vibrate like a Guzzi does. What can i say, Guzzi has the good vibrations for me (as does same medium sized all-road thumpers).
  3. Well, the aluminum eagle emblem for on the alternator cover is slightly bend/curved because of the roundness of the cover. The other one's for on the porkchops are flat. I don't know if they're also lengthwise the same, but this is the difference that i know of.
  4. You can also check at TLM.nl, our Dutch Moto Guzzi dealer. They have them in stock. I don't know which one you're looking for? For one the sides of the porkchops or the one on the dynamo/alternator cover? Cheers, Mjingen
  5. Well, maybe i've found the holy grail of the V11 painting codes or/and paint recipe's...... I was searching for the paintcode for my rockercovers for my Café Sport and through some carpaint website's etc. etc. i've found the AkzoNobel search mode for car paints. There i found that Moto Guzzi motors was also in the list and when you search you're color, you can get a complete recipe for all kinds of paint mixtures. I've yet to find a painter who uses AkzoNobel paint an try it. So i can't yet confirm of these are the right ones. I'm going to try it this spring when i'm going to let my rockercovers get a new finish. Gr. Mjingen
  6. Actually, a V11 tank can only hold approximately 21 (20,7) liters of patrol. Anyway so says my ownersmanual of my Café Sport. But if you have managed to completely driven your tank empty, you must have wobbled alot to get that patrol from one side of tank to the other side of the tank . I've once managed to do the same with my old 1100 Sport
  7. I can barely manage to get 1L/15-16km if i drive relaxed or highway kilometer doing a steady 130km/h. When i'm of the highway and i can really hit the throttle, i'll do about 1L/13-14km. That's with a totally original V11 Café Sport.
  8. Hello Jason, You might wanna check out Reboot Guzzi parts in France. They have a Sport 1100 right now up for parts. The owner is English so that won't be a problem in the language area.   9. Well, the V11 Ballabio's and Café Sports have two cables running from the gashandle. I've "lend" a picture from an online shop to show it. I don't know if you can just swap the gashandle (and cables) form you're current V11 with that of a Ballabio, without further adjustments, but we will see you're progress upon improving you're ride I hope it'll help!   10. It was so obvious.... I read the repair thread a couple of times just to know what to do and the partnumbers are already mentioned there. Anyway, thanks for mentioning it. I'm going to order both the spring and pawl-arm just in case. Regards, Mjingen
  11. Is that spare the modified arm or the modified spring or both?! And, what partnumbers are they, because i also want a spare with me for my V11. Better have one with you and don't need it than need one and don't have one with you.
  12. Antonio is telling him about an engine-tuner, Ruud in Goes, who can adjust you're standard ECU on a dynamo so it will suit you're wishes/demands. A few years back he payed € 200,- for the adjustment. And sorry, i don't have any experience with the racing ECU. I know someone who has one installed in his Coppa Italia with the Titanium mufflers, but all i know is, that i'ts going like hell...... More of everything, hp, torque, speed, sound. Regards, Mjingen
  13. Congratulations with you're V11 Cafe Sport!! I bought mine (also a Café Sport) also at TLM last June with a lot more km's on the gauge, so i'm kind of jealous.... They sell very fast here in west Europe so you're a lucky one with one in such condition. Greetings, Mjingen
  14. OK, dumb question. I have only an owner's manual. Where is the oil pressure switch? I see a Y fitting with three hoses in front between the cylindars- that is all I can see. If you're still looking for a Workshop manual, than take a look at this link and download both manuals for the V11 + the update. Always handy when you're working on you're bike.
  15. Well Hello Evan, welcome to V11 Club. Nice looking V11 Sport. That's the first Guzzi where i fell in 'love' with led to me recently buying a V11 Café Sport (after selling my Sport 1100ie). This is my V11 Café Sport 2004 (haven't posted a picture on the forum yet).
