  1. Ha ha Probably best if those with a nervous disposition steer clear of Guzzi ownership.... Cheers
  2. Needs some legnano green on it....ha ha . Cheers Ps it is a good looking car.
  3. I just checked my invoice and it has part # 30157400 for the breather so hopefully the better quality one. Don't fancy going through that carry on with oil everywhere again anytime soon ha ha . Cheers
  4. G'day folk's Mine was $31.95 Australian (for the correct item)... Not exactly expensive! Cheers Guzzler
  5. Bloody hell. I just replaced mine after this scenario and looks like same cause! Thats possibly 3 of us in the last month bitten by the nefarious breather hose! Cheers Guzzler Ps it does look terrible and terminal doesn't it but thankfully not so!
  6. G'day mate. What was the part # and price of that locking nut if you don't mind? This is the chromed piece that sits about where your pinky finger is yeah? Mines a bit manky looking and wouldn't mind replacing it at some stage. Cheers Guzzler.
  7. Thanks Doc Yep, the TB's were balanced afterwards mate. Cheers
  8. Thanks fellas. I just shot out and backed em off a quarter turn to be sure to be sure....
  9. Thanks Mick. I just had them replaced and have a very slight stumble at idle on the odd occasion... I did tighten them up more and got several more turns of the screwdriver on the clamp and then wondered if i'd overtightened the buggers? Cheers
  10. G'day folk's. Just out of curiosity, how tight should these be done up? Tight so can't tighten any more or just so...? I tried a search but couldn't really find anything relevant. Cheers Guzzler
  11. You know...sometimes double vision is a good thing!!
  12. By God I enjoyed the ride home from the mechanics on Friday! Back giving me a wee bit o gyp standing round waiting till we got her out of the shed but once under way...... Bloody Marvelous and it did wonders for the back win win! Cheers Hmmm.... Hon the lawns need mowing, sorry just heading out for some back therapy!
  13. Mate If it happens again try flicking the Kill switch a few times.... I had this issue twice last year when the bike wasn't ridden for 4-6 weeks.....I know the shame! Anyways worked a treat till I rode her more frequently! Cheers Ps I think it was her way of telling me she don't like to be left alone!
  14. Yeah, I reckon it looks good too!
  15. G'day mate Is it from the oil cooler? I just had the infamous breather hose replaced on my V11 Sport which did the same thing and it's whereabouts and where it bursts would lead you to think it was something disastrous... Just asking... Cheers Guzzler
  16. G'day mate. Very timely post this! Sorry I didn't have time to respond yesterday as was working from home and had a wee look here when quiet! I actually finished early and headed down to pick up my bike from Rob ( Mechanic) in Warneet! Whilst I was there I mentioned your issue with only getting 150-175 K's from a tank and he expressed surprise too!He thought it sounded like a bad sensor....! Anyways I asked if he'd be ok to take a look at it for you and said ok. It's Rob Grant from Guzzi Repairs. You can get his # by googling Guzzi Spares and disregard the address in Cranbourne as he now works from home in Warneet! ( send me an email if you have any dramas finding it mate...I think my email is on my profile) I don't know whereabouts you are, but I can vouch for Rob's workmanship mate, he's been servicing my bike for some years now and he's a bloody good bloke too! Cheers Guzzler Ps I would not under any circumstances take my bike to the Official agents here in Victoria but that's up to you. Pps I was in the Guzzi club but recently let my membership lapse, good bunch of people but as I explained to Ferg I just don't have the time to be able to participate in club events of late due to family commitments but will rejoin again when I retire in a few years.
  17. Mate My V11 Sport has open Mistral cans Stucchi crossover & open air box lid.. The ECU has been re-mapped to suit and I get 250 kays before the low fuel light comes on ( if I behave ) so I think somethings wrong there! Cheers
  18. G'day mate. I just emailed re go with US post but maybe I'll wait and see how you go with these... But if much the same as UPS will stick with the post. Cheers
  19. Same here Mick.... I'd be happy to pay whatever any additional Paypal charges are too. Cheers
  20. In the early days I lusted after the Magni fairing for my Sport. It would've been quite the financial commitment especially here in Oz.After a while though I realised that if I had gone with one I'd have been forever swapping between it and the Stucchi.A bit more time and I've come to prefer the Stucchi...really prefer it, so glad I never went down the path of the Magni.I dare say though the minister of finance would've made it er difficult anyways...ha ha. I agree with Mick though in that the V11 does need a fairing to balance it out. As good as bare breasted is, in this case she kinda looks better with her bikini top on! Cheers
  21. Nor me. Reckon he's busy as well and the weather up there wouldn't be helping either! I'm not in any hurry and would prefer he gets around to it when it's convenient for him eh. Whenever you're ready mate.. Cheers
  22. Been 3 x bloody weeks for me.....! Wish the parts would hurry up as starting to get a bit toey, more so as reckon back is now up to riding ha ha. Cheers
  23. Thanks mate. You know when I was growing up in ChCh in 60's and 70's I can't recall ever seeing a Guzzi. Not one! I left in 80 and got back in 85 for almost a year and still can't recall seeing one! Now when I watch ole mates video's, especially this one I'm staggered by the diversity and amount of them in NZ! Cheers Guzzler
