It worked – the tank is not back to normal size, but it did shrink enough for me to refit it on to the bike. So for anyone else that have problems with a swelling tank – try to empty the tank completely, place the bike somewhere dry, open the lid on the tank and leave it overnight (or longer).

I would think water might further deform the tank material as it does with various polyamides. Exposure to air is more likely to restore the original shape. How full was the tank when you removed it? It was about 1/3 full - and thanks for the advice, I have just emptied it, opened the cap and now I’ll let it sit on the bike till tomorrow and then see what happens.

Okay - so it's not the new fuel lines - I guess that’s some kind of relief. Is there any way to get the tank back to normal? Have been searching the internet, but haven’t found anything on it. I’m thinking what if I emptied the tank and let it dry for some while – would it shrink back or is it just a bloated tank forever now?

Anyway to test it? Can I empty the tank completely and wait a while or? I have found out, that in Denmark it is required by law to have 5% ethanol in petrol. Thanks for the reply by the way :-)

I recently changed my fuel lines with new steel reinforced ones (because it looks nice – and they needed replacement). The new ones are a bit bigger in the outside diameter than the old fuel lines, but not very much. Now when I try to refit the fuel tank it won’t fit properly at the mounting screw in the back end of the tank. Have anyone experienced the same problem and is there a way to fix it, without having to buy and fit new fuel lines again? My main headache is, that it doesn’t seem like the fuel lines is squeezed between the tank and the frame anywhere. Furthermore, if I unscrew the rubber pads (the ones in the front that keep the tank in place) the tank fits perfectly! Any advice is very welcome! (and preferably not to change the fuel lines again ;-)

It is a V11 Le Mans from 2002 - and it's primarily the fuel lines I'm interested in.

Does anyone know the dimensions of the different hoses?

Battery life is my concern as well! Any one have any opinion on Scorpio or SpyBall alarms? They seem pretty good - but they are really expensive - so if any one out there have some experience with Scorpio or SpyBall alarms that would be great :-)

First off, sorry if this question has been posted before (as I could imagine it has been) – but I could not find anything on MC alarm on this forum, so here goes: I would like to buy an alarm for my 2002 Moto Guzzi V11 Le Mans, but I have no clue what to look for! Therefore, what are your experiences out there? Is the GPS tracker alarms any good and is a motion sensor a must have? Also, what is the battery drain when you fit an alarm on the bike? I'm going to buy a new battery for my Guzzi anyway, so I might as well just buy one whit a lot of Ah.

The only thing you need to know about Denmark is that you have to pay a 170% registration tax for a new or a imported mc! Yes, that was 170 - more then the actual value of the motorcycle. As one how just recently imported my Le Mans into Denmark when moving from the US, I know this all to well :-(

The latest update on www.cajinnovations.com is from November 2007! Is it still operational? Also, what is the know-how requirements for dealing with MyECU? I would like to buy one (especially because of the diagnostic tool and the Android/Bluetooth gadget), but I’m not very keen on programming the ECU myself!

That would be nice - or just a website where I can read something about it if you know of any. I can read some German, so no problem there
