  1. I have the original Dels on my Sport 1100 and a previous owner removed the air box and installed pods, I would like to return to the original airbox. I have been looking and posting in all the usual places, with several promising leads but nothing firm yet. Does anybody have the complete setup in their trash and treasures? My Sport is beautiful, I just completed a paint/podercoat, but the bike still runs ....er..... not as cleanly as it might. Thanks Jay jknight611@earthlink.net
  2. Late to the party, but I have the Staintune and it sounds fantastic! Never fails to get positive comments about the looks and SOUND!! Not loud, but does make it sound like a 2 cylinder small block Chevy! Jay
  3. I emailed Oberon about a cap, he responded about the screw length, I am seriously considering that option. Kinda expensive route!! I really wouldn't mind just getting the greenish colored seal on the cap. Thanks guys Jay
  4. Hi all, I know this may sound kinda silly, but what is the best way to seal the gas cap, My cap has a flat rubber seal and it leaks. I have dined around with a small o ring under the seal, still a wet crotch... Less than desirable!! Doesn't seem to be adjustable in any way. Any thoughts on a fix? Thanks to all Jay
  5. Hi all, first off, I have no connection in anyway with this bike but I would like a Guzzist to buy it to save it from a horid fate!! Look on Coparts.com, subcatagory motorcycle, Moto Guzzi and there is a 9,000 mile V11 that is whacked in the front end, no bid yet. It is lot number 20334413 in Martinez Ca. Looks like a nice bike before the close encounter. Bet it won't bring $500!!! I have bought from them (have to register to bid) before, a painless process. Hope somebody on the forum can use a parts bike, maybe a rebuilder. Hard to tell from the enclosed pics. Also have a V7 listed. Best to all Jay
  6. Thanks Mike, finally got time yesterday to remove and disassemble the starter, all 4 magnets are free in the case. I bought the tune up kit, may just return in for the $119 new starter option. My armature is kinda work too. Thanks for the suggestions guys! Jay
  7. Anybody recall what starter is on the carb Sport 1100? I was going to run a quick errand and when I tried to start the bike.....CLICK!! I had a very few minutes to troubleshoot the system, the voltage drop test showed Thanks!! Jay
  8. Rich is just finishing a seat for my Ural, and then one for my 1100 Sport, his email is sidecarnutz@hotmail.com Jy
