  1. Dave, order a Greenie shirt and then we can verify the instructions.
  2. Of course, but I think i'll manage fine heck,I'd even provide the relays (one spare will do you on the road).
  3. Poor guy. You have to ride all that way? Through mountains and vistas in Europe in September? I'd be willing to deliver it for ya and save you the misery. I'd probably not charge too much for the service. Just sayin'. Call me if you need me.
  4. I didn't think of the back and forth DOF. But is this axis a problem? The engine pulses in another plane, and the wear we see on the splines surely comes from the radial rattle. Back and forth would be axial. Anyhow, I see a good chance that holding in the clutch at stops in 1st gear or at other occasions isn't really that bad, maybe more weal than woe even. Really bad for the clutch and the splines is probably being hard on the throttle at lower revs, let's say below 3 or maybe 4k. And then, Docc's V11 has seen some miles, why should the parts look as new? The usual life span of a motorcycle is below 50.000, everything above is a bonus for the owner and lost profit for the manufacturer. See it this way. I expected my flywheel to look much worse at 99,000 miles. I did not expect the input hub to look so bad, but no one expected it to come completely loose, either. (That was certainly my increasing idle rattle noise.) While I am not one to run the Sport below 4,000 RPM, I am admittedly often hard on the throttle and downshifting/ rev-matching, then hard on it right back up again. "Hell-on-wheels!" . . . and tires . . . and brakes . . . and clutches . . . So long as you're rev matching when shift, I would think that would take the shock of out of shifting and be easy on the drive train. I would think strong throttle, so long as you stay smooth, shouldn't be an issue. (Of course this is said by the guy that cracked his transmission case.)
  5. BB- Your computer must show different colors than mine. The Green Acid color looks yellow. Colors that seem closest for Greenie are 1) Bright Green 2) Bright Green 3) Silver 4) Apple Red I wish someone would order one in green and get it sorted out. But I didn't see your Scura listed as available, only the V11 Lemans. Confused. And you have red wires and gold forks?
  6. I read an interview on WG with one of the Piaggio mutkey mucks that said a new bike was in the works. We might get a glimpse at EICMA and that the production models would be shown at the year following. So perhaps 2019?
  7. Those are the old Givi (A750 & A755) bikini fairings. They're popular on naked Guzzis like the Sport, Griso and V7 models. I've seen a red Griso with a A755 that looked factory including matched paint and a metal Guzzi emblem. For some reason, they've been discontinued. Perhaps that's because the new naked bikes have odd shaped headlights rather than traditional round ones? I assume that Harper's still has a good supply since they are still on the website.
  8. MK's "Real Live Roadrunning". Fantastic record. There's a song about "riding an Indian" and "short track racing" and even the Indy 500 ("Speedway at Nazareth"), biplanes, and Napoleon. And Dire Straits. Mark is one of the performers I've never seen live but I hope I get to see him play play. Is there any sadder song than ELH's "Red Dirt Girl"? That one is a real tear jerker. You may not want to hear it (really):
  9. wow. Tenni is a pretty rare and potentially collectable bike. Even if it's in rough shape, you'd think that someone would want to restore it. Most track bikes are wrecked sportsbikes. Sell the Tenni to a restorer and get a trashed GSX-R at auction. A GSXR (or Ninja, 996, R1/6, RSV, etc.) will be a cheaper and more capable track bike. The Tenni would go to someone that will want it.

  11. Blight- Try Gustafsson Plastics (St Augustine FL) for a windshield. I understand that he does custom work as well. They make several to fit Air Tech fairings. And that RZ fairing looks cool. I'd love to see it on a V11. https://bikescreen.com/

  13. As I mentioned on WG, I am taking my travel trailer to Smithville Lake MO, just between KC and St Jo. My youngest son will turn 28 on that day. He was born in Belleville IL which is just north of the direct path. A happy convergence. I hope both my sons, family and friends can make it.
  14. Hopefully the flame red will fade over time and match the rest of the frame?
  15. May be Google Photos? (formerly Picasa).... they backup every photo to their cloud that I take with my phone immediately, and I can look at them on any computer or phone and attach them in emails after logging in. Kind of nice, as I'm not so prone to back up, transfer or download photos from the phone on a minute by minute basis. I need to figure out how to use the 'IMG' hosting in Google Photos. They say it's possible but takes a couple of steps. BLIGHT I have google. I have Win 10. I have lots of photo s/w that I used once and never used again. All I know is I get thrown back with my own photos via pop ups, e-mails and that silly windows 10 app thing that's in the start up menu and the like. It does seem like they're taking my privacy but I just ignore it. Like Chuck says, it's a real shame when you post all this stuff and *pooooof* all gone . I mean I was pissed off when I posted those Pink Floyd concert photos on Wild Guzzi and someone whined about it and took it down. You spend time putting it up and it's gone.
  16. https://www.dpreview.com/ DP. I have 300 photos, full size (10-18 MP) and have filled about 25% of capacity.
  17. I use DP. Being a photo hobbyist. I am not sure they allow as many photos that some us post, particularly you DIY guys. Chuck, I am sorry that your aero photos are being held. I assume that you are writing about your online copies and you have the orginal photos backed up on your home system? I think one of my big gripes is that through Win 10 or perhaps by upgrading some applications, that my photos have been sent into some online systems and they are feed back to me on various pop ups and the like. It does seem like it violates my privacy. Now I can just imagine those guys getting my photos, then I rely on it, then lose the originals by neglect or omission, and then they sell me back my own photos.
  18. I never thought I would like linked brakes but they work quite well on my EV. I never thought I would like floorboards but they work quite well on my EV. I don't think I'd like them on my Sport but..................
  19. My gearbox was painted and is slightly lighter than the original paint. The other note, Don mentioned that he used premium sealant reassembling it. Something like $30 worth. I don't remember the particular product.
  20. it's good to know that folks here are buying them.
