  1. Very true. I personally think they made more Scuras and Rosso Mandellos than they said. I was at Marcus Dairy one time and 2 guys showed with Limited Edition SportClassics with the same number. That was hilarious. I wouldn't be surprised if there are duplicate number Scuras and Rossas out there. I don't think the US even ever got the Scura R. I've never seen one in the flesh. Even any pics I've seen they've all had Euro plates on them. As for the red seat? So very very true.
  2. If that's the case perhaps he should get an OEM ECU.. Some folk trying to get stuff to work that they likely shouldn't be using. Just pull this "Cliff Jefferies" stuff off and get a MM ecu . EV-11 stuff is plentiful. And cheap. Or just ponder and scratch your head and wonder why some guy's backyard mechanic rig is fouling up. I wish this guy the best getting his bike going. I learned a lot of lessons with my LeMans trusting "mechanics" with "backyard garage remedies" and all it did was cost a lot more money in the end unscrewing my bike from the backyard mechanic work. A simple google search on this "GuzziDiag" tunes and it's just a mixed bag of horror stories or a few praises. The guy who owned my LeMans prior to me installed some backyard tune I discovered. It ran like the throttlebodies were dirty and out of wack. Hard to start, coughed, periodic stalling. Come to find there was some "custom tune" done to the ecu. Then when it ran like crap someone tried manually adjusting the throttlebodies and tps switch in attempts to rectify (likely Etheridge). Took me over a year and around $700 to get it sorted. But ponder away. I'm stepping out.
  3. It should be a Magnetti Marelli like any other Aprilia era Guzzi. Likely someone put in a crap map throwing off the timing or other things. I've heard nothing good of GuzziDiag. I'm not looking to argue . But everything he's seemed to describe sounds like a fueling issue. Could be a sensor. I don't know.
  4. I would recommend getting an ECU reflash then having your TPS switch adjusted and throttlebodies synched. I would recommend Guzzitech but right now due to EPA crap it's hard to find people to program ECUs. But try synching your throttlebodies and adjusting your TPS first. If that don't do it have someone reprogram your ECU. Not to be patronizing but check all your rubber bits to make sure nothing's cracked or overtightened. I've made that mistake.
  5. What have you guys been using to clean up old oil, gas and grime off the fins on your jugs? I got to doing some detailing the other day and tried a bunch of cleaning products with no avail. Wondering if you guys have some tricks. Thanks.
  6. I don't think the 5 speed gearbox will line up in the V11 spine. At least that's what Im told. Front will, back won't. I got that from 2 well known Guzzi mechanics in SoCal. The gearbox case between the 5speed and the 6 speed is slightly different.
  7. Looks like someone selling a bike that hasn't an idea what it is and pulled up the specs of a 1100Sport. Whoever it is took the time to pull the motor and blasted the crumble off.. But that thing sure is tight!!!!!😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

  9. Both mine do that. The woes of a high compression motor.How old is your battery? I normally have to swap mine every 2 years. These alternators are known for being a little weak . I've been told there's some internal clock that saps the battery but not sure how true that is.
  10. I think this may more explain that Aprilia Taureg thing, the Moto Morini ADV and maybe the 850TT than the new Guzzi v100.. Well, maybe explain the motor. Very cool.
  11. It's likely your TPS switch. Or they did a crap job on your throttle synch. If any coughing check your throttle boots. Common if the place you took it to doesn't work on FI or Guzzis a whole lot.
  12. I just omitted the whole top of the airbox and put in a frame to hold in the air filter. I think it's 2 M5 screws that hold that bugger in..
  13. Two different animals, two different types of clients. However, cool. For the suggested price of the new Speed Triple RR I'd rather an MV Superveloce Realistically, when the Speed Triple R hits it'll be atound the price of a Superveloce anyway. The MVs have been going out the doors for around $22k. That's about what the Speedy will be out the door. But the Guzzi? My guess prolly around $15k. Maybe less after the hype goes away.

  15. I'm loving the exit of the exhaust from the bottom of the jug. I'm hoping they do a roadster version with low bars or clipons and a seat cowling.. You know.. A V11ish version.. 😎👍
  16. I got to looking at the new Guzzi. I was liking the styling but then it started looking all too familiar. It was as if a Motus and an old z1000 had a baby... I hope they make a naked version to show off that new motor..

  18. A classic. I had this as a screensaver for years. Had a buddy photoshop the v11 into Scura colors.. I'll try to dig it up for you.
  19. I love these Interceptor Twins. I've been considering a "Mr Clean" chrome tank version. Decently built, parts are cheap. Reminded me of a 2000s Bonneville but more compact. Which was good. Very good. I'll tell ya though.. That orange is pretty sexy.
  20. Owning a Guzzi is more like a marriage. The honeymoon will be awesome. You'll love it. Then some quirks will come out which will begin your "sorting out " phase. Some days she'll piss you off. Some days you'll want to get rid of her. But then the quirk will be repaired and when you ride her it'll be more satisfying and even thrilling. Then dudes will look at her and wanna ride her. You'll either be nice and blow it off or tell them to "Get bent." You'll take the time to perfect her and she'll age like wine.. Won't be the fastest in town. Some days will let you down. But you won't get rid of her. Cuz she's YOUR b!tch.. True story.. I own two. Straight polygamist. Don't judge me. 😅👍

  23. I'm just patiently waiting fot a new LeMans or at least a Griso replacement. I mean the V85s are cool and all but when you've been riding V11 Spineys for years a V85 can still seem a little meh. And the 1400 is cruiser and more of a freight train. This motor reborn into another kind of Tonti style or spine frame would be just pretty. Or both. Guzzi should get this done with and make a reborn retro s1000 twin shock deal and then a sporty modern single swingarm deal.
