I finally got a decent ride out of the old girl today! I was putting a speedbleeder in the clutch piston, and after removing the swingarm I found the bearings were seized solid đ . Like totally solid. The pivot nubs mustâve been rotating independently within the races. You try and do one little job eh? So, once more unto the pluckin breach then! Those bearings are b*stards straight from satanâs worse dreams. I had forgotten Iâd done this job on my last v11; mustâve blanked it for sanityâs sake⌠But, new bearings in (lovely fag ones- fags are so nice haha) and blow me down but i think the rear suspension is actually working as it should now. I kept wondering why I wasnât feeling confident in the corners before but now weâre back in business!

Whoaa there fella! Donât break it or buy a new unit. What i did was reach in with a set of tin snips and cut bits off it till it was small enough to drop out. Itâs only very thin metal so cuts very easily.
-
how much is the m shocker?
-
Areet fellas, got the following bits that should be re-homed really: - ITI speedo - ITI Tacho - Veglia Speedo - Veglia Tacho - Clock mounts x 3 (One of which is the carbon fibre type) - Ballabio fairing inc mount - Carbon fibre fairing - Tarozzi Clip-ons - OE clip-ons (Just the clips, no bars) - Sump baffle plate If anyoneâs interested send me a message! đ

Hello, @motortouring, sorry i missed your response- yes i still have them if youâre after a set

I had pretty crappy fuel economy till i discovered a nasty crack in my mistral crossover. It was right next to the lambda sensor too. Actually iâve only just last week had it repair welded and popped it back on the bike.

I did a wheelie today!! ok .. so probs only about 3mm.. or thatâs 1/8th of an inch to our fine US chums. âŚ.But it still counts!

those bastards can get damn hot. i melted the anodising off the disc once. got to refresh it every year or so i reckon.
-
The effects certainly were, but with the wheel gripped between my shins the play thru the âbars was almost imperceptable. I was rather pleased with the fix- ÂŁ18 for 2 bearings vs ÂŁ200 for a new disc!
-
Extra bonus- i thought the pulsing on the brakes was warped discs. Nope, was bollixed wheels bearings
-
Update: Now iâve put fresh wheel bearings in, the suspension feels very good. Thereâs no preload or compression adjustment on these maxtons and, weirdly, the extremes of the rebound clicks give either a âconcreteâ or âzebedeeâ setting that leaves me confused as to who would need them, and for what purpose⌠but in the middle thereâs a few clicks of nice, compliant suspension.

Black + Gold though⌠itâs a classic combo!

indeed. everything that was originally plastic on my monza is now a fine, black sandy substance. curse ye father time!!

Riding Breeches / Riding Jeans?
stewgnu replied to LowRyter's topic in Special place for banter and conversation
last time i fell off i was wearing a pair of Bull-It covec sr6 jeans, which held up perfectly. Theyâre not expensive either. I wasnât going very fast though, maybe hit the road at about 35-40mph, but couldnât fault them- normal denim wouldâve left me with holes in my knees and hip i reckon. Sadly the bike was fooked đ -
you can ââcarefullyâ chew it out with a small cold chisel.

Oof! Very nice! HB fella!

I might be interested if thereâd be a consignment going to the uk? Gloss black ideally.
