Just bought this Rosso Mandello, not sure of it's number as it came without a certificate

Interesting and a very nice looking bike. It seems that the tail piece and the sidecovers are carbon fibre. If that is so then they are not stock - the stock pieces are a matt gray. They do look great though (and maybe that's what they should have been). Does the side cover have a serial number ( ie 1 to 300 range)? That would tend to indicate it is an original series that may have had a certificate. The other possibility is that it is from the 301 to 600 group that came without a certificate. It could also be put together from parts (the valve covers should be red as well) and who knows what was original.

Either way it is a great looking bike and it is a Rosso Mandello in my books!

Enjoy.

Thanks, the tail, side covers, fairing, front and rear fenders have been coated in a carbon look finish, not sure when it was done but it's very nice,

the bike is listed as an RM in the service book when it was new, it is a UK bike registered after the original 300 so it has no number on the side panels instead it has a Union Jack flag, the valve covers have been powder coated black probably because they turn pink,

since I bought it I have fitted Cafe Sport bars with Griso risers and the Ventura luggage kit, I also have ordered a pair of Mistral high silencers to make it sound as it should.

The high silencers look much better than the low ones in my opinion and they do sound so much better.

My valve covers have maintained their colour well but probably because it is stored indoors or covered when outside. I have removed my "numbered" side covers and added carbon fibre and also I have a carbon fiber tail piece as I want to protect the condition of the original pieces while still enjoying the bike. I'm going to try a set of Bub pipes with reverse cones added and flat black paint. I know they are very loud but I want to be able to use saddle bags and they would be well out of the way with Bub pipes.

You have a fine looking bike.

You can see why I can't install saddlebags in this picture.

I'll post pictures of the Bub pipes when I can.

Nice looking Bike there Jim!  I have high pipes too and I use Cortech soft bags.  They aren't real big but they're better than nothing.
