Speedo trip meter bolt size

It's a long shot, but does anyone know the size of the thread that holds the re set trip meter knob onto the speedo?

 

I had to drill the top off the old one to remove the speedo.

There are a few different speedos for the V11's. What make is on yours ITT or Veglia? What years your bike?

Sorry should have looked closer at your post. 2004 should be an ITI gauge.

I managed to cut a small cross on the remaining head of the tiny screw.

 

Fitted it and it seems to be holding. Time will tell with the vibration etc.

Denis, when I first got my bike, the previous owner had a shop work on (i.e. butcher)  the broken ITI speedo. They ended up "attaching" the stem using what appears to be JB weld. I had to snap it off to get the unit disassembled (as you know). It sounds like you are all set for now, but if you need more info, I might be able to take a closer look at the broken parts I have left lying around.
