Replacing the Idiot Lamps

Freakin' awesome. I have my replacement "jeweled" panel!  I mean just a couple days. Like twelve bucks US.

Harper's rocks!  This forum rocks!  :notworthy:  You guys rock!

I want to see it!  :P:

All right, I managed to get a "pilot's eye" view of my dim (early V11) warning light panel in the daylight. I would say they are even dimmer to the naked eye, through the faceshield, while under way:

Looking good next to those lovely Gauges. And I note that this little upgrade can be done in 17 minutes or less.

Haha! Well noted! And that is with having to fiddle with my gauge mount upgrade (which actually makes it easier than the standard four acorn nuts and removing the speedometer drive cable).

Including four minutes looking for one of the metal fairing bushings in the gravel. :bbblll:

  • 4 years later...

I decided to do the updated lens card trick, but #02781101 is apparently NLA from Harper, Stein Dinse, MG Cycles, etc.

Does anyone have a good used one lying around they'd be willing to sell?

I need one too if anyone has one.

I tried to send you a PM, @Lucky Phil, but you "cannot receive messages."   :(

(I ordered one of those lamp panels for you from Harper's back in August. Not looking hopeful, but I'll be calling Harper's after the new year.)

What could be the reason for this docc? Too much stuff in my PM box?

I kinda figured I wouldn't be able to available docc but thanks anyway. Who knows the call in the new year might be "lucky"lol.

I found this one, still attached to the lamp set from a 2002 LeMans parted out on ebay from Germany. It reminded me that the later (2003 on?) lamp array differs from the early Sports and 2002 LeMans  (no battery light and left/right turn indicator lamps).

Yeah, man, check your inbox and see if it's at 100%. Simple enough to delete old conversations. Or pesky moderators you don't want to hear from . . .

Yea thanks docc, I saw that one. It looks a little ropey and with shipping is very expensive for a $10 item.

Cleared out my messages. You were right, full inbox.

I have ordered the white plastic lamp holder for the cluster from https://www.cmsnl.com/, it was also NLA at most stores.

Not cheap, but I was very happy they had it available. Maybe they have this as well. It is listed on their site as PGGU02781101.
