Decent Tune-up

Power commander, so no telling what it's doing.

Hmmm, there is that . . .

Simple to delete and see what changes in ride-ability.

Otherwise, I would think that is a pretty "free-flowing" intake-exhaust set-up.

Ya think? ;)

Should just snap off

Great, thanks czakky! That was my guess but didn't want to force it.

Maybe drizzle a little of your favorite CLP into it first?

Interesting thread this... I noted that a couple of the bikes were done for others; is anyone offering a tune up service? Happy to pay, and Id like to observe and learn with someone experienced before tackling myself in the future. Im in bucks uk.

Hi Rookie,

I'm in Reading UK and am in the process of buying all the cables to connect GuzziDiag etc and set the TPS. I can let you know how I get on. I'm not a pro but am competent and lots of clear advise on here as to which way to go. Where abouts in Bucks are you and what do you have?

Is this what the port you run the vacuum balances looks like?

That's it. 6mm threads. Very easy to strip so tighten down the plug very lightly when you replace it.

Perfect. I have 6mm adapters for the vacuum gauges.

I had mine plugged like that for a while and finally stripped one and had to Heli-Coil. :bbblll:

After that, I went back to the factory brass vacuum taps with rubber caps. I carry extra caps in case one fails.

21 Oct 2019 edit: [These caps (or hoses) should be replaced periodically as they get dried out and vacuum leak. Also the brass taps can loosen up and I don;t think the Heli-Coil does a good job of forming a seal. Maybe PTFE tape is a good idea for these?]

Did you just have a washer under the head? Maybe an oring would work?
